When you bite into a buttermilk biscuit from the Big Biscuit Barn, be sure to close your eyes so you can immerse your senses in the light, airy texture, the savory butter, and the melt in your mouth goodness. It is a treat for your senses. The country sausage gravy has the smoothest, oh-so-light base with just the right size sausage mixed in with flakes of ground pepper that give it the true southern taste. The big biscuit platter has a generous helping of scrambled eggs, gravy or grits, and a biscuit with your choice of meat. The two of us had a keep-you-full-all-day breakfast for $16 and change. The restaurant is owned by Phillis Cabe, a widow who gives credit for her success over the past 15 years to her faith. Make the trip to the Biscuit Barn and while you are there, ask Phyllis about her biscuit making class. She might just save you a seat.
Outstanding biscuits! Ordered strawberry shortcake biscuit, cheddar garlic biscuits, and a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit; all were terrific. Cozy cafe vibe, quick and friendly service. Hard to beat the price, too!Food: 5/5
Could have been that I went a hour before close but my experience wasn't the greatest. It is a cute quaint place...not much seating inside but thats not a bad thing...feels cozy. The lady taking the order looked like she was done and frustrated having to take orders. Her expressions and the way she would ask us what we wanted to order not very welcoming. The biscuit/food wasn't bad. Only thing I thought was great was the buttery grits. The eggs were nothing impressive....could have done without those tots.....my kids didn't like the tots.. Could have been like I said a bad time to come and the wrong plate but ill have to pass on 2nd visit.
Always consistent. Go inside if you get a chance and eat in. You just might catch her patting out those fresh biscuits like I did!
Absolutely love their Sausage Gravy & Biscuit! An amazing place in Rossville for any authentic southern breakfast.
We stopped in today and really enjoyed it so I’m confused by the few bad reviews. Wasn’t the best food I ever ate but it was really good, I enjoyed as did my wife we thought the staff were really pleasant and the place is cute. I had the ribeye biscuit which was great and my wife had the breakfast platter, she loved the grits and we both really liked our biscuits. We look forward to going back to try the burger, it looked really good.
Delicious! Tried a few things on the menu and loved every one of them. They truly do make big biscuits, the gravy is amazing. The price is excellent. The lady's are sweet as their pies!Food: 5/5
It was my first time in. The staff was very helpful, except "twisting" my arm in getting an apple pie. The food tasted great. Only wish omelet was a little bigger for that price. Regardless, the taste and service made up for it. Definitely will come back.
The food was good with large portions. The restaurant was very small with very limited seating. We didn't have any table service so I don't know if it was bad service or if it was self serve but the drink refills were behind the counter. I wouldn't bring my family back but I would pick up breakfast from here if I was in the area.Food: 5/5
Biscuits uneventful, dry, and the best biscuits in N GA sign is over inflated. Country ham sausage, and bacon were all cold! Yuck! Two folks taking your order at the same time and eggs were Over-cooked-yikes. The grits were - ok And coffee. Please take more pride in cooking your breakfast. And get back to what you use to be. The food is severely lacking.
