Excellent value, Best BBQ in the state. Variety of special sides daily. If you don't like BBQ, you probably won't enjoy this. The smoke rings are very clear, the staff is wonderfully welcoming, and they have excellent tea. I love the rack of ribs, but look forward the the excellent specials they have. I would (and do) recommend this place to anyone. Anytime we have visitors, I make it a point to bring them on up the Big Shanty BBQ!

Ate here the first time the other night. Ordered "Steve's Sampler." Let's just get the only negative out of the way... the BBQ sauce. We did not care for it at all. Tasted like ketchup with a little something else I just couldn't put my finger on mixed in.  The service was good. I really enjoyed the brisket and the ribs were tasty. The pulled pork had a good taste but was mostly dry. Maybe it's a regional thing, but I didn't care for the taste or consistency of the sausage. Wasn't terrible, just not for me. Love the sides! The slaw was great and I really enjoyed the baked beans.

Great consistently tasty food.  Truly adining value.  I like coming in on Tuesday's so I don't have compete with the regular diners.   Great time and place to bring the family or special friends !

Visiting Marietta from Huntsville for Hyundai training class. Was told this was the place to go for barbecue and let me tell you they DO NOT disappoint. The staff is more than accommodating and as kind as could be. This is possibly the best barbecue I've ever had. I'll definitely be visiting this restaurant when I come back to town. 10/10 would recommend!
