At Christmas last year, I bought a bicycle for my son at the store. They made an excellent recommendation and were patient in explaining the benefits of each bike. He has certainly gotten his use out of the bike and has needed repairs due to heavy use. The repairs are always done quickly, with a smile, and at fair cost. I certainly recommend their store/shop!

As a business owner, I know reviews should be taken with a "grain of salt."  It is a one-sided biased opinion.  Some are competitors, etc...  I have been into The Bike Room about 20 times in three-four years.  I have NEVER had a bad experience.  I didn't come in expecting freebies, to cut people in line (Yes...there are a line of folks ahead of you that left their bike there for work.), and I have been told I'm a pleasant person (gets you far in life.)  
    I bought my bike on Amazon, because they didn't have the exact bike I wanted (the brand.)  That is o.k., you can't stock everything.  We bought my wife's bike there and it was custom built.  I buy all my accessories there.  I check out the other four shops in that zip code, but KEEP on coming back to The Bike Room.  

    The store is well organized, well lit, have a great variety, and staffed be ver pleasant (Non-salesmen) type of employees.  Even the bike mechanics will come out from their project they are working on for customers, to ask you if you need help.  I just bought a gorgeous Brooks sale and grips from them today that was competitively priced with online.  

    I was going to throw it in my backpack and happily ride away, but they said they had time to put my seat and grips on for me real quick.  They did it while I waited maybe 5-8 minutes looking around the store.  Amazing service!!!  So while I am sorry a few of you have had bad experiences, I have consistently been a customer there 3-4 years, and just now have decided to do  long term review.  Not a "Been in there one time, and somebody was mean to me so I'll blast them online" review like a few here.  

    One of the woman mechanics there (I didn't get her name) was especially helpful.  Instead of showing me where the Brooks seats simply were, she came out from her project, offered me a test ride on one of her bikes there so I could get a real world experience on this famous saddle.  She was outside answering my tedious questions about the saddle and saw that I wasn't sure of the "break in" period and care of the leather saddle.  Tell you, I was on the fence about the product but this amazing woman helped me understand why I would not regret a Brooks.

I love the look and feel so far, and know it will get better with every ride!

I came in with a charity case. Wanted help with what I thought was an easy fix for a bike donated to a family of Syrian refugees with 2 pre-teen boys. The owner says "This is a business. Call St. Vincent DePaul church they have a bike repair program." I called, nobody knows what I'm talking about. Ok. I asked the owner if he thought I could do the repair myself easily as I don't want to make the problem worse and I don't have any special bike tools. He says "You can do anything if you put your mind to it." So I went to The Bikery on 1st Ave S and the owner showed me how to repair the bike and sold me the parts I needed for $2.

David was extremely knowledgeable and was not a pushy salesman when a friend and I went in there today.  He took so much time to make sure I understood everything I was interested in knowing about a bike.  I highly recommend and will be back to purchase from them.

Excellent service. Needed an emergency fix on a new bike the day before Christmas, which was a gift for my little girl. Definitely will be back again. Thanks guys!!!!
