Modeled after the same great cuisine our customers have come to love, Bistro 33 El Dorado is an experience all its own with style and ambiance that blend into the El Dorado Hills landscape. For a complete night enjoy the quaint coffee houses, wine bars and boutiques or go see a movie before or after dinner at the Bistro.

Bistro 33 serves Lunch and Dinner seven days a week and Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, with a full bar.

We went for happy hour and were seated at a table and though the food, drinks and service were good, we were shocked when our bill came for $200. We were told that happy hour was only good if you sat in the bar. However no one told us this. In fact, the sign next to our table clearly stated happy hours minus the small detail that it was only valid if you sit in the bar. We asked to speak to the manager because this was clearly not stated any where when were ordering. The manager came over and was quite confrontational when we asked about the bill and pointed out the sign next to our table. He turned slightly belligerent and asked "have you ever had happy hour in a restaurant?" At that point we recognized this manager was not interested in our business or service in any way. He turned verbally aggressive quickly and the exchange escalated. We paid the entire bill and left quickly. Our waiter was a doll. And the food was delicious. Just to be fair to my post.

It's okay. Great location. The bar was so hot that we had to leave. The hummus plate was pretty good, although it could use more pita. They will give you more, but if they are busy it can take awhile.

Had the French dip sandwich which was really good. We were a group of eight, they took drink orders right away, my margarita was weaker than I'm used to and was $10 while the sandwich was a deal at $13.

Excellent service, food, wine . Always a great place for dinner.
