If you've got a hearty appetite, thus is the place for you! This portions here are plentiful. You won't go home hungry. This is a favorite with the locals, and the restaurant tends to go from quiet and  laid back to busy and buzzing quickly. The servers are worth the 15% - 20% tip. They are fast, friendly, accurate and efficient. There was only one time, ever, that I went to Black Bear Diner and  came across a server who looked less than happy to be there. In her defense, though, there was a line out the door, a 20 minute wait for a table, and one of her tables was a larger group. Can't fault the gal for being human, right? This is one of my favorite places to eat.

You want a great American meal? Look no further! This is our go to place for a hefty portion at a great price. Food is also very tasty and has a home made touch you can’t go wrong with.

Visiting from out of town. Love the atmosphere and everyone is super polite. I got the Bacon Cakes and they’re amazing. Nice little spot.

Good solid comfort food.  Waitress was very attentive.  We split a salad and a burger. She brought out the salad and burger split up on separate plates.  Deserved extra tip.
