Fabulous fish ‘n chips. A great selection of beers. Best location on the quieter side of Fisherman’s Wharf overlooking Monterey harbor. What more could you expect from this established British pub?

Try a welcoming staff and charming atmosphere replete with brick floors, stone covered walls, a magnificent grand bar – all designed to bring out the cockney in everyone. The light and airy interior is ringed with large windows for unbeatable views of the harbor. Outside, beautiful patios with fire pits invite relaxation as sea lions bark and sailboats glide by.

Great place to grab a beer with fantastic food!  So far I can vouch for the bangers and mash, Westminster pie, wings, and the fish and chips.  Every dish has exceeded my expectations, and the wait staff is always good company.  The atmosphere is also nice, not necessarily quiet as the night goes on, but a good time - just as a pub should be.  All the old decor is cool and I prefer the warm feeling over all the sterile new joints that come and go.

Excellent fish and chips; good tartar sauce & a kids menu. Given the area--and freshness of the fish--the prices were not unreasonable.   The quaint, wood-paneled interior hid a lovely outdoor patio behind, looking out over slowly bobbing vessels moored in the marina and the twinkling city lights across the water. Our patio table harbored a fireplace in its middle, delightful to sit around on a clear coastal night, eating hot, crispy fish with one's family.

We have been here several times and we always bring our border collie. They have a patio that allows pets and they are very accommodating. The food is fabulous and the service is always friendly and fast. We'll be back!

We arrived on a Friday evening. The place wasn’t very busy. We were told to seat ourselves and after a few minutes Brayton took our drink orders.  My wife chose the Bangers and Mash, I got the Curry. My Wife’s food was pretty good as was mine. Although I will say my dish looked a little haphazardly thrown together. Brayton checked in on us from time to time, but wasn’t exactly their friendliest Person in the place.   The food was good and the prices were acceptable. But the place doesn’t exactly make you think about returning to try more of the Menu.

One of the two best pubs in Monterey  (the other one is the Crown and Anchor). Great fish and chips, sliders, and wedge salad, my wife loves the steak salad. Great bar, good bear selection. Great view of the Bay and harbor with the boats in the harbor. Extra room in the back for large groups. Great staff.
