This place rocks my world. The Poboy is not lacking in shrimp, and the hush puppies are possibly the best I've ever had. I will be returning as often as I can swing it. Great southern food, but with a fresher twist than most LA southern food spots. Note, this place is not a restaurant but a cafe. There isn't a whole lot of seating, just what you see outside. I think sometimes folks get the idea it'll be a bustling inside space, but don't let the lack of indoor seating deter you.

Repeat customer here, have tried most things off the menu and almost everything has been very good to great...from time to time have gotten tastes that felt like they were sitting a little bit too long before getting to my face, but that's the risk you run in a place that gets busy and where everything is made fresh. Slightly above-average in price for the area (for some items, not everything), but the quality of food and welcoming friendliness I get 99% of the time I go make it well worth it. Only one star off because I wish they could increase the seating (and maybe throw up foliage/other kinds of sound-proofing next to the patio that sits right across from a really busy intersection) -- when I go I just want to sit down and eat while it's still hot, so whenever it's loud and full I'm a little sad I have to wait until I get home :-)

This place has the best yard bird I have ever had in my life. I just discovered it and I love it. I got greens and mac and cheese, I thought I was in the south.

Being from the South, I was very excited to see southern comfort food available close by. Overall they do a good job but it is expensive for what you get. I had a shrimp and grits bowl that was very tasty. They do seem to have some issues getting the order right as I had to return twice to pick up items that were forgotten in my to-go order.

A little pricey, but tasty. A lot of technique is used is make these southern-style recipes. A lot of love goes into this restaurant. There is no indoor seating. Seating is in an open sidewalk environment. Options are limited. Not good for groups.
