Story

Located in a city rich in maritime history, the Black Cow boasts spectacular ocean views and fine dining within walking distance to all that Newburyport has to offer. On cold days relax by the open fireplace and when it is warm enjoy the salt air and ocean breezes on our outdoor patio.

Your table is guaranteed for indoor seating upon making a reservation. We no longer accept reservations for the outdoor patio. The patio will be handled on a first come first serve basis. We look forward to serving you.

Best food and service. Drinks are awesome. The manager Mike is the kindest most professional person. Every time we go to the Black Cow, we are more than satisfied.

The halibut and filet were absolutely delicious! We have some dietary restrictions and our waitress was fabulous working to make sure we got everything correct. Loved it.

My company's Christmas party is always here. We always have a good time. Atmosphere is nice, you can see water and boats. Good selection of beer and the food is tasty. My wife liked it so much she bought me a gift certificate to entice me to bring her back.

Mussels were good, nachos were splashed in sour cream, and the shepherd pie was really good! Waitress was very pleasant. Nice view and bar.

Excellent meal...however they were short staffed.. but the real reason I'm giving them a three.. was there last night.drinks were served. 2 long hairs in drink from Bartender. They took drink back and was very sorry. I understand things happen. They told the manager they pointed over to our table he looked and that was it. They brought us another drink. Here is where I get pissed off being in customer service. That manager walked by our table many times not once did he stop and apologize or even ask us if everything else was ok. .But it was ok to take 144.oo for a party of 2. I usually go their quite often after that experience maybe i should think differently...I've gone to less expensive restaurants and have had a better experience. To Bad waitress was great
