I love the bar tenders they r great people. Especially at evening the best drinks in town. The food is fabulous. For a bar that is. The juke box is he best. I go there in the day time for a laid back kind experience.

Caught a really solid pair of bands. Showed up way too early, and the bar tender was chill and let me order a couple beers and work on some code uninterrupted.

They always accommodate my vegetarian food substitutes and the staff is so so nice. Drinks are always tasty and the live music is always appreciated. Holly is the best, I love this spot!

Personally, I like the Black Forest.  This is a place you can come to in order to escape pretense.  People don't dress to impress at the Black Forest; the conversation is rarely about your job or income.  I consider it the best downtown bar for the common man not looking to peacock himself out to the rest of society.  THAT SAID; there is an alarming number of times I've met with people there whom have racist viewpoints on the world.  This does repulse me; but then again the Nazi's started in a "Beer Hall" and it is _important_ that we don't leave these kinds of spots alone.  We must confront prejudice & hatred where they reside.

They have quite the selection, 20 taps. And they usually have a few sours and a few special New Belgium beers.
