When I was a teenager living in Spearfish in the early 40's, Clyde Ice hunted coyote from his Piper J3.  There was a bounty on the coyote.  Clyde did the flying from the back seat, a shotgunner rode the front. The airplane was on ski's, they would land and pick up shot coyotes.  I doubt that Clyde ever flew an ILS but he sure could fly a J3.

One winter the door of Clyde's large hanger was covered with coyote hides. I understood Clyde flew into his 90's.
