RAP is a really small airport so it's easy to navigate. Be aware that because of the size, there are limited flights in and out. There about five airline counters. Our flight got delayed, which would have caused us to miss our connecting flight in Minneapolis. The next available MN connecting flight would have gotten us home on Monday afternoon, which was not ideal for us since we didn't have any additional vacation days to use. Seeing us in distress, three agents got together and worked their magic, getting us to Denver to take a red eye that would get us back to BWI at 6am. They were so patient and nice, and pretty much saved us from losing our job! Thanks guys! 5 stars for them! TSA was pretty slow. They took forever scanning every bag. Clean bathrooms!

A small regional airport. You'd think service would have been better, at hundreds of dollars more per flight than the nearest airport. But no. I bought an expensive coffee. It looked at tasted like water. I went to ask them to change it and the lady said 'you're going to have to pay'. Upon emphasizing 'the coffee is not drinkable' she said that's the policy and price. I handed her a credit card and she told me the difference had to be paid in cash. The second coffee was drinkable but the bitter taste left in my mouth from the service ruined it.

Small airport but it's ok. Better check in online to avoid the long wait time

Arrived late yesterday (1130pm). 2 of my expensive Heys hard shell lugguages were damaged. One was unusable, and it was missing a wheel, dented corners (these have steel plated corners), hard shell cracked in several areas, and the extending handle would not extend. The second lugguage had dented up corners and the handle would not extend. The late night attendent refused to file a claim number for me, and he was extremely unprofessional by starting off yelling at me several times stating it was normal wear and tear and the lugguage was that way to begin with, and that I needed to file a claim directly with United via their phone line. Regardless of his opinion, he still needed to file a claim number which he refused. At the end of 10 minutes of this abuse, I was furious and told him to move out the d... way as he was blocking my way and then I noticed he was using his phone to video record my reaction and disfavor to his maltreatment and refusal to file a claim number. He did NOT have my permission to photo nor video me. He also refused to give me his full name nor his manager's name. I caught his first name before he hide his badge...his name was GREG. Upon returning home, I called United Bagguage claim, and they said the airport needed to file a claim number along with their determination documented, and only the airport can do this. The phone representative opened a claim and assigned number and asked me to return to the airport within 14 days (since it was aN international flight) to have the airport look at the two lugguages. They said to contact them if the airport denies to complete the report again, and they will contact the airport directly. The taxi company owner who dropped me off and who also picked me up that evening even asked me what happen to the lugguages as they were in good condition when he dropped us off. In short, unbelievable poor experience from the service representative at Rapid City Airport. The service reps there do not work for united nor any of the airlines...they are contractors that handle all the airlines due to the small volume of the airport.
