Black Pig takes you back to a simpler time. Comfortable and familiar, relaxed and easygoing. Serving up big flavor, pushing comfort food out of its comfort zone - comfort food with a twist.

Story

Features incredible gourmet comfort food, spectacular wines and craft-brewed beers, along with a full bar for those tasty cocktail concoctions. All this in a great atmosphere. While the majority of seatings are walk-ins, we do accept reservations. Families welcome.

When we do go out to dinner, which isn't very often, we pretty much always agree to eat here. The food is delicious and they have a great selection of wines and spirits. Anyone who loves great food and wants a great meal unlike anything else in Sheboygan, give this place a try! I highly recommend!

We (from Milwaukee) were in nearby Kohler for business yesterday and wrapped up in time to grab lunch nearby. Googled area and got the Black Pig. Had no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Special was a lobster bisque (way good), and a crab sandwich concoction that had a LOT going in (if you are actually into flavors). Also had the duck confit tacos and again, amazing flavors (the kind that linger a bit and you can enjoy them like a fine wine). Admit, we are food snobs (husband is amazing cook), and when we dine out we tend to be discriminatory in our dining choices (otherwise, cook great food at home). Service was excellent at lunch. Good selection of craft beers and wine. Seems like a gem in this area. Not over expensive at all for the quality of the food. We will now build this into our itinerary when in the area. Awesome. We rarely post reviews so that tells you something.

Drinks were great and the apatizers were well done but that's about where the good things end. The food was over seasoned and the meats seemed over cooked. If there is more then 20 people in there you will definitely have a hard time hearing if you're trying to have a conversation. I would go back for drinks but that is a big if.

A bit overpriced. While it's a beautiful venue, I've definitely eaten better pulled pork and mac and cheese at other places. The decor and the flatware look very nice and are a level of quality above the actual food.

The restaurant is beautiful and i love the pig puns..but the food was so disappointing and expensive. If you don't have a complete garlic, onion, and pork fetish avoid this place like the plague. I got the mac and cheese and it was so runny. it was like mac soup. My mother got a sandwich thing and it was just arugula and onion and cucumber( i think) the garlic and onion was overwhelming and it was served with hard tortillas. I really wanted to like this place. It also gave me diarrhea , it is safe to say that i won't be going back and i regret ever going. I left hungry with a stomach ache so i ended up going to toppers. It's pretty good. They have tater tots and noodles as toppings.. i have never seen that before. I wish that i could have sat down and enjoyed it, but i had to rush home to poop. My God it exploded out of me, i thought i was done.. but then it came back to haunt me. I wish that i was joking or being dramatic, but I'm dead serious. I have to write this on the toilet. I have never written a bad review of a restaurant before..but this was tragic. You have been warned.
