Story

Like so many remodeling companies, ours was born out of a spare room and a beat up pick-up truck. At first, I wore all the hats. I swung a hammer during the day while nights and weekends were filled with meeting clients, estimating projects, doing the book keeping and answering the phone! Over time we hired team members to help out in the field and eventually in the home office.

During these early days, we developed a vision; to create a world class remodeling company. A company that would deliver great experiences building great projects, on time and on budget. This vision prompted Brenda and I to write a formal business plan for building our first Blackdog Remodeling Showroom in 1995. This showroom housed exciting and creative displays as well as our growing team of talented people. We were busting at the seams by the year 2000 at which point the current showroom and office building was constructed to allow for more flexibility. In 2009 we opened a second location in Amherst NH.

Along the way we have constantly worked to create a culture of continuous improvement. We have systems and procedures in place that have been refined over many years. Although we never get to build the same project twice (and we like it that way!), our processes allow us to consistently build unique projects in a predictable and efficient manner. We thrive on the challenges remodeling offers; we understand that our clients not only expect great, functional designs - they want to know their project is going to get done on time and on budget in a clean, safe and secure manner. This is what we do and we do it well.
