Story

Bleubird is a new restaurant opening in downtown Boise. It will offer specialty sandwiches (including grilled cheeses!), charcuterie and artisan cheeses, fresh squeezed sodas and a daily happy hour featuring an innovative beer and wine list. Bleubird is owned and operated by husband and wife team Dave Kelly and Boise native Sarah Kornfield. After a 9 year stint as a chef, caterer, and food entrepreneur in Vail Colorado, Sarah returns with her husband Dave, a 20+ year restaurant industry veteran, to show Boise their love and passion for food and entertaining.

Great food. Does not ever disappoint. If ya want a regular sandwich go to subway. If you want a lunch experience go here you will not be disappointed. Best lunch in all of boise. Staff is very friendly and always hustling to get ya taken care of. There is generally a line. It's always worth the wait. Grab lunch here you won't be disappointed.

I've traveled around quite a bit, and Bleubird is hands down one of the top two sandwiches places I have ever been to in my life (the other being a small deli in Denver). I never write reviews but people need to know about this amazing sandwich shop in the heart of Boise. The line out the door every day speaks for itself. Delicious fresh ingredients on fresh bread. Great homemade sodas, and all reasonably priced. I'll gladly eat here once a week. My only complaint is they are not open all day.

I was travelling from out of town and chose to stop here because of the reviews. The staff is incredible. They gave me suggestions on food and drink. The pastrami sandwich was amazing, and the bacon potato salad was phenomenal. The sangria was delicious and the overall vibe was trendy/chic. The staff all wore friendly smiles, made me feel welcome, and checked in with me several times. I will come back my next visit.

Bleubird does it all right. A delicious, fresh, creative and varied selection of menu choices and if that's not enough, they're all reasonably priced. And don't forget to try the sodas, they're awesome! All this goodness is prepared to order by a very friendly and efficient staff that somehow manages to keep on smiling as the orders roll in. They take pride in what they do and it shows. There may be a wait to order but that's a great time to think about how fortunate we are to have this great cafe in Boise!

Gluten free bread!!!! Great sandwich combos, busy lunch spot but we still got seating. Cute little sign to remind you to be nice. 😊❤
