I think we found our new go-to restaurant.  Sorry the pictures suck, but after having the mushroom and Brie soup and corn chowder, we pretty much devoured everything else before snapping a pic. The short ribs were excellent and the bao buns were tasty as well. The salted caramel gelato for dessert was honestly the best we’ve ever had. The setting is very nice and the service was excellent. All that said, I cannot recommend this place because I want to be able to get a table next time we go . Honestly though if you’re looking for a really delicious dinner in the NW burbs, you need to put Bleuroot on your list.

We attended a dinner event upstairs at Bleuroot and the food was amazing! The service was great and the drinks we very well prepared. We've been wanting to check this place out and it did not disappoint! I recommend the smoke infused old fashioned.

The restaurant was in a beautiful location right by the river. As for the food, I ordered the Short rib poutine and the Sriracha bourbon pulled pork steamed bao buns with Mac and cheese. The poutine was really delicious with a lot of cheese and meat. The pork buns were okay. The bun was nice, but the meat was a little on the dry side. The Mac and cheese on the side though was really good! Super creamy texture

This place is awesome. Management, servers, bartenders, greeters…..you name it! We had a reservation snafu 12 people. We called and reserved and unfortunately there was a miscommunication. They were excellent in making it work. Mary was phenomenal and Ryan our server was a great guy. Super friendly and helpful. Communication was great and overall friendliness and attention to make sure we had a great experience was over the top. I’ve Never experienced anything like that from what I can remember I’ve never had a restaurant that went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience even though the reservation snafu occurred. Will definitely be returning. Mind you we drove 30 minutes to come and we will come back for more!!!!

Great local spot for food and drinks! Start off with the Lamb Lollipops you will not be disappointed. Awesome atmosphere and service, this place is a hidden gem.

Quite a fantastic mix of foods and drinks that will please everyone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Kevin was our server and you all couldn't ask for a friendlier person. He was around enough to care for everything but not hovering. This was the 4th time we have eaten here over several years and each time was delightful.

So aesthetically, the place looks great!  It has three seating areas and great views of the river.  I like that you can see where the food comes from when you walk in, and like that it’s supporting local merchants. The food was good, but service was a slow and a bit sloppy for the price of the meal and given that it was not particularly busy at the time.

This restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating with nice views of the river. There was live music and it was a very relaxing setting. Everything we ordered was very good. I especially liked the portebello fries. I had the build your own burger, and would recommend the pretzel bun. For my side, I chose the Not Your Mother's Mac & Cheese, which was delicious. Some of the best mac & cheese I've had. The staff members were all very nice and it was an overall great dining experience.

We enjoyed the dinner very much. The mushroom brie soup was wonderful. I will get it every time I go there.Food: 4/5
