Enjoyed a Prix Fixe meal before Thanksgiving here. Local ingredients combined creatively and served up in a beautiful fashion. Definitely high-end for Los Osos. Each course was well balanced and full of flavor. The Gnocchi left me wanting to lick the plate. The pork chop was perfectly seasoned and had a nice crust. The caramel apple dessert was very tasty, but nearly impossible to chew. The house made caramel was extremely hard instead of chewy. Tasted fantastic, but was a workout for the jaw. Definitely will return for a regular menu day.

Meatball appetizer was delicious. Scallop dinner plate was great as well. Yule chocolate cake was generic but decent. Nice setting with inside fireplace. Seats outside are close to the bay and there are firepits as well.

A great find! Delicious food, great service, a charming setting on the bay. Outside fire pits and relaxing couches are perfect for sipping wine or cocktails with friends. Outdoor patio dining is also offered.

We were seated quickly in the main dining area with options at the bar and outside available as well. Service was friendly especially from the hostess and others checking in. We decided to try a couple appetizers before heading to the festival outside and to decide if we wanted a full meal. The chowder was full of a variety of fish including a large oyster in the middle, but unfortunately it was a bit bland and unseasoned. We also got the pork steamed buns; the actual bun was very tasty but the meat was a little burnt and the pickled vegetables overpowered the flavor of the entire dish. Would like to try again the market specials sounded good, but it wasn't an impressive start.

A friend of my mom's and her husband went here with a reservation within the first couple of weeks. When they arrived they were told it would be 50 minutes, with virtually no apology. They only live 5 minutes away so she asked if they would just take their number and call when a table was close to ready. The host said he'd be happy to, and took their number. They never received a call. I understand that in the first few weeks of any restaurant there's a learning curve, but there's a way to handle issues and this wasn't one of them. There should have been profuse apologies and at least an offer of free drinks or appetizers. If this was my personal experience it would be one star. To their credit, my mom's friends still recommended the restaurant based on what they'd heard of others' experiences, and the fact that they know the owner. I'm only writing this in hopes that the restaurant will read it and never make these rookie mistakes again. When you screw up, take responsibility, apologize and do whatever you can to make it right or make up for it.
