If your going north-south you'll come across it sooner. On the southern end there isn't anything. This place is worth the ride. The midstream is beautiful and informative and had some things for the kids. Just a movie the pretty in a small theater that talks about the Parkway. If your riding good road you need to stop here

Very nice.  Great video.  Interesting billboard showing the entire blue Ridge parkway... With a moving monitor rubbing the entire length... Highlighting what was behind the monitor.

This was a clean facility with lots of traveler's freebies, like maps and attraction pamphlets. Also plenty of well chosen keepsakes, gifts, snacks...

Love love love this place!  Whether I am hopping on the parkway at 421 or near Brevard I always take the time to stop at the visitors center to view the super helpful interactive map, and to check out the ever changing stuff in the gift shop.
