My husband and I genuinely enjoyed our time on the train! A lovely ride, slow and scenic. A wonderful view of the river. The staff had interesting information to share during the trip and it was cool to see some of the historical things on the way. The stop in Tennessee is perfect. Plenty to do close to the station. Just enough time to have a bite to eat and walk around the shops.

Awesome time on the Santa express! Saw Mr and Mrs Claus and the Grinch and frosty the snowman! Beautiful views. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Songs and Special gifts too. Special needs children are very welcome and made feel like family. The train engineer even helping us load our wheelchair into our car after our ride. Great day for the whole family. Thanks so much.

Very nice thing to do doesn't take very long. It does it cost very much and get a history lesson on top of it. You could still see some of the ancient Indian fish traps as the train rides along the river going towards Tennessee. In the warmer weather or the cooler weather you could ride inside the covered cars as they are air conditioned. If it's pretty weather you can ride in the open cars and have fun. Children love it. Nice views and the neighbors along the train route like the wave at the train and the people wave back. At the end of the line in Tennessee as a little short layover where you can go do some shopping and eat and then get on the train and head back to Blue Ridge.

We had a blast and enjoyed the Christmas Spirit!!! The train ride was nice and the views are good...we all enjoyed it!! Just get there early if your with a group because you have no assigned seats we moved from the plush seats to another train car that didn't.. I would recommend the train ride for the Holidays we will return during the fall to see the changing of the leaves!! And second but not least ...a great little town to do some shopping!!! I hope you enjoy the photos!!!

Great Christmas theme train ride during the Christmas season. Ginger bread lady, Santa Claus and Ms. Santa, Frosty and the Grinch are some of the characters making their rounds in the train. The kids loved it and we took some great family photos. Recommended.
