Sorely disappointed with the lacking customer service in Blue Grace Logistics. 

After coming highly recommended by a colleague, I hired a truck from Blue Grace Logistics  to drive Hurricane Relief Supplies from Long Island, NY to Houston, Texas.  

The truck arrived hours later than promised because the “driver isn’t responding” and was apparently tracked by GPS in Maryland, over 4 hours away. They were able to furnish a different truck than that which was promised a few hours later. 

No weight rules or restrictions were placed at the time of ordering, or alternate truck arrival. However, a week after delivery I was billed an additional $300 for the truck driver having to unload some donations to an alternate location due to being overweight of road limitations. I was also billed another $300, (now totaling $600 extra after the fact) because upon arriving at the Hurricane Relief Center the person volunteering asked the driver to drive some of the supplies 6 miles away and gave the driver a $40 tip and he stated no problem. This resulted in a non disclosed $300 charge.  At no point was this charged authorized by myself, the person who hired and paid for the truck. 

The following weeks have been a back and forth battle of emails and phone calls between myself and Blue Grace Logistics. I was treated as if I was inferior due to my lack of “shipping industry norms.” It was the responsibility of BGL to disclose rules and regulations regarding freight weight limitations, which they neglected to do. 

I’m still going back and forth regarding these extra charges. The communication and customer service has been less than desirable and I certainly do not recommend this company.
