As a self-proclaimed reviews-freak, I was very nervous about bringing my dog here because of the poor reviews; however, I was extremely satisfied with the service we received. The receptionists were so friendly, which goes a long way for scared owners with very sick pets. My dog has a mass/probable tumor on her liver and I had to bring her to the appointment alone, as my boyfriend had to work at the time. We are very new to Virginia and I traveled down from Hampton with my super lethargic pup to see a specialist. The staff were all very kind and doted on my sick little girl, putting us both at ease. Dr. Berdoulay was fantastic and though the ultrasound he performed did confirm our fears of a bleeding liver mass, he talked me through everything he saw and gave us our options for treatment. It was the first glimmer of hope anyone has given us through this process, as the last vet we saw suggested immediate euthanasia. I would definitely recommend this clinic to others. (Bonus-they offer military discount!)

Took my dog to this Blue Pearl location for the first time today. I was referred here by my regular vet for my dogs itchy skin. We had a good experience. It was not busy and the staff was prompt. The doctor didn’t seem super rushed like at many vet offices which I really appreciated. They were great with my dog who is a Nervous Nelly. He seemed to like everyone there. They are very expensive but it is an emergency/specialty clinic, and their service was good.

They took my review of because they are angry and inhumane! Like I said before you take your dog here just know you are forced to kill your dog they will not release your dog! They will make you pay for something you didn't permit them to do! They don't care at all! All they care about is the green! The last place to even think about taking your pet too.  Just watch out you never know if they decide to euthanize your pet because they will!  Don't delete my review, I will keep watching and posting. It's how I feel, free speech! It's not my fault you gave a bad service! Thank you for your unwanted service again!

Paranoid dog mom, here. My baby was shaking like a leaf, panting heavily, and had explosive diarrhea. My usual vet didn't have an open appointments and recommended Blue Pearl. I was hesitant at first because of the reviews, but am so glad I decided to go anyways. They were very kind and understanding when I got there. They took us back within 30 minutes even though they had rushed a mama dog in shortly after we arrived that was in the middle of having puppies! The staff was incredibly kind and kept me informed the whole time. They were great with my baby even when he had a couple of accidents in the back while taking him in for X-rays. Of course they had to take my money at the end, they are still a business after all. But the doc was very upfront with me about the cost before she even did anything. If you aren't capable of paying to make your dog healthy and keep them safe, then don't get a dog. Simple as that. Thank you Blue Pearl for taking care of my baby and I!

I had a very positive experience at Blue Pearl when I had to take my dog there for an emergency. The wait time was not too bad (45 minutes) which was ok as my dog was not in need of immediate triage services. Everyone was very helpful in making sure I understood what was going on with my dog and what was needed to be done next. The Veterinarian's took good care of my dog overnight and helped resolve the emergency he was having. I'm grateful for those who work late hours to help resolve our animal's issues.
