Ate before a Griz game. I had the "Best Meal on Beale Street" Half rack of ribs, catfish fillet, fries, coleslaw, and baked beans. The ribs and fish were excellent. Wife had the stuffed mushrooms and she enjoyed them. Another couple had the gumbo and said it was good as well. Service was excellent. Top Notch

Went to this place looking for good BBQ in Memphis and this place was a big disappointment. This place was packed thought was going to get some good ribs but it wasn't it was below average not a lot of meat did come off the bone easily but doesn't make up for the small amount of meat on those ribs have had more meat on ribs from other BBQ joints. The waiter who brought the food had some issues I don't know what was wrong with him. He dropped a side order of coleslaw on the ground not even knowing he did it tried to tell him before he walked away then he looked over and took a fry off our plate and purposely dropped it on the ground. Don't know if the guy was on drugs or if he was drunk he was off never had a waiter do that. He didn't clean up the coleslaw he just let it sit there for a waitress to clean it up. The baked beans started off to be lukewarm then went to cold they weren't nothing special. Overall, the experience wasn't good still couldn't get over that waiter I mean how do you not see you dropped a cup of coleslaw and you just leave it on the ground then purposely drop a French fry on the ground like we really wanted you to waste more food. If you're visiting Memphis I recommend you go somewhere else for better BBQ not here not worth the price and the rudeness of the workers here.

Food was meh. Far cry from "world's best" tamales. Service however, was excellent. I would look elsewhere for food options. Or maybe just don't order anything in a black box. We got suckered. Atmosphere like a Waffle House with blues music.

Second time eating here while visiting Beale Street and I enjoyed it! My ribs were a little dry and didn't taste fresh. My guess was because it was packed and they were trying to keep up with people coming in and out. The sausage and beans were great! The food overall was really good!

Great gumbo that's just spicy enough. Very tasty fried shrimp. Scrumptious stuffed mushrooms. Amazing tamales! Fun atmosphere.
