We only stayed here for 2 nights but we loved the campgrounds. Everything is clean bathrooms included. The campsites are large and have big pads and table and room enough for big trailers. We were right at the waters edge a very nice place to be. There were also deer walking through the campground. While in the area we went to Providence Canyon in Lumpkin GA. The Canyon isn't far from Bluff Creek and is worth the ride bring your camera and walking shoes. We will make planes to get back here soon.

A Near Perfect little COE park on the Chattahoochee River in Alabama. Just 30 minutes south of Columbus, GA or Phenix, City (I didn't spell it wrong) Alabama Bluff Creek this weekend was very quiet. There were maybe 12 camp sites occupied of 83 available. Camp host and campers all said it was unusual for the second weekend after Memorial Day Weekend. If you use the COE website for reservations know that the camp map says sites have no access to the water / lake. Even if the map shows campsites up next to the water, understand that the campsite overlooks the lake and inlets, but from 6 to 8 feet directly above the campsite. For many campsites, you can see the water, but would have to have a rope ladder to access the water. This is one of the smaller COE parks we know of on the Chattahoochee River. The property is well kept as are the bathhouses with laundry. This campground is very fisherman friendly with a screened in fish cleaning station and cleaning tables at every site. Most of the sites are separated by 30 feet of dense brush. Most sites are deeply shaded. (Ours was so shaded we needed the interior lights in the trailer at high noon.) Most sites are easy to back into. Only those along the Bluff Creek side have direct access to the water. There is only one thing that is a drawback, and that is the pulpwood mill adjacent to the park on the Mill Creek side. When we go back, and we will go back, we will camp on the Bluff Creek side and put a little more room between us and the pulp mill.

My famiy and I camp here at least 4 weeks during the summer. The staff are friendly, but abide by the rules. There is plenty of parking for visitors to your camp site. Each site allows you to have your canopy (for RV/Camper) open at all times. It also has a large pad with a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. The bathroom facilities are SUPER clean! In the womens restroom there are benches near the showers and two sinks (1 regular/1handicap). You have your choice of three bath facilities throughout the grounds. There is tons of nature all around. My husband takes his boat and spends the day fishing. There is a fish cleaning house when he returns. They have laundry facilities too. Oure kids are able to ride their bikes without me worrying of them leaving the grounds. Its a nice place to relax and enjoy family time.
