I recommend this restaurant for anybody in the Whitefish area looking for a classier dining experience. My girlfriend and I got an appetizer, drinks, and dessert in addition to our dinner meal. We had the Calamari appetizer, I had the Grilled Elk Tenderloin as my entree, and she had the Seabass entree. For dessert, we shared a slice of Huckleberry Mudpie (we’re glad we shared because it was a very generous slice). For drinks, I had one of the rotating beers on tap and their Hot Honey Jack cocktail, and she had their Ruby Red Spritzer cocktail as well as their Hot Nutty Irishman. The atmosphere was really warm and comfortable. Our server Colin was very nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and well trained. The complimentary valet service was a pleasant surprise. Food 4.5 (the Elk Tenderloin gets a 5/5 hands down! I highly recommend it!) Atmosphere 4/5 (can get noisy but we loved the aesthetics of the place) Price 4/5 (if you’re okay with spending over $50/person, the menu is more than reasonable. We spent $130 for dinner, dessert, drinks, and an appetizer plus a 20% tip) Service 4.5/5 (they were out of some menu items which changed my girlfriend’s order, otherwise this would be 5/5) Location 5/5 (close to downtown and the ski hill) Overall dining experience 4.5/5

Made a reservation for Thanksgiving Dinner in October for our family of 7. Called so far in advance they hadn’t even made the final decisions yet. The boat club called back to get my credit card to hold our dinner reservation at 5pm. I asked repeatedly if they were going to be serving Thanksgiving dinner (shocker) since it was Thanksgiving. They assured me although the buffet ended at 4pm there would be a Thanksgiving dinner special. Showed up for dinner at 5:00pm and the waitress (who we love, Kenzie) had to inform us with a manager they were not providing Thanksgiving dinner. The manager was unapologetic, rude, and walked away without even an explanation. Needless to say, our family of 7 left and had to make other arrangements. I understand Thanksgiving is a holiday and I respect and value everyone who had to work. But when you make a reservation a month (if not more) in advance with a verbal, and written (on your website) that you will be providing Thanksgiving - you should follow through. I called the day after to ask for a manager. Never heard back. Horrid customer service, and atrocious respect. We spend a lot of holidays at the Boat Club including Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. That was our last.

As a resident of the area and an owner of a local b and b, I am sorry to say that last night's dinner will probably go down in the archive as "worst meal ever"...we were informed at the very last minute that the Thanksgiving turkey dinner we'd looked forward to was not available as they had failed to prepare adequately for the all day buffet that was served. Upon opening the dinner menu we we're shocked to see prices that would rival San Francisco or New York City. A simple pork tenderloin on "chorizo hash with slaw" was $32 and it went all the way to $55 for a beef tenderloin. My husband ordered the pork and I can only guess that the chef never learned basic preparation of pork tenderloin (don't overcook it)...it was 3 large cubes of the driest overly smoked meat which was on top of a tasteless melange of potatoes and slaw. The Caesar salad was served on the tiniest salad plates ever and it too was tasteless and made further unpleasant by "fried capers" which did nothing but lend a strange chemical taste to the tasteless and tiny Caesar. The French Onion soup looked good but the cheese melted on top must have been purchased at bargain prices because other than looking good, it had no flavor either. The service was not great but I would give that a bit of a pass since it was a holiday and perhaps the management needed to save on salaries by not staffing adequately? Since dinner was so awful, we decided to see if dessert might make up for it but after waiting 15 minutes from receiving the menu and our server passing us by numerous times, we just decided to get the check and leave. I will not be returning nor will I ever refer my guests in the future.

Marissa, what a lovely girl! She made our son's birthday dinner celebration even more special with her great carisma, professionalism and beautiful personality. My sister, (who's English is very limited), and son were visiting from Mexico. Marissa was so sweet to chat in Spanish with my sister - which made her feel very welcome at the Boat Club. Dinner was delicious but service was Superb! Thx Marissa!

The steak and scallops were delicious but the mashed potatoes were so salty it was like chewing on seawater. They brought cous cous and it had no flavor whatsoever. However, the waiter Ted was great!!!!!
