BONSAI BREWING PROJECT ALES

LIL BLOND HONEY 5% 15bu
The fore front of the Bonsai Brewing Project. One taste is all it takes and you'll know it's the drizzle! Pounds of Montana honey are added to this naturally blond ale, then we raise her hot and wild so every batch is a special little princess. A smooth light body, heavenly floral scent of honey, and a spicy attitude from just the right hops at the right step create a deceptively manipulative ale.

INITIATION ALE 5.5% 35bu
The beer glass is a rite of passage. Take beer to the next level, explore the brewniverse in search of lost goals and this ale will help you succeed. A pale ale that walked away from the herd and never looked back. Some Special B malt creates a toffee characteristic that is gracefully corrupted by a few good flavor additions of a special hop to balance the elements.

DUE NORTH IRA 7% 85bu
When the cold winter sets in this red hop bomb will light a fire in you that keeps you warm throughout the night. Continuously barraged with kettle hops until they tear through the thick creamy red body and leave it riddled with hop flavor. Then we add insult to singularity with one last double blast of hops to make a strong contribution to the never ending madness of Montana weather.

SHERIFF JOHN BROWN 5.5% 25bu
Bob would be proud, this sheriff never drags you down. Smooth creamy maltiness rolls across the tongue like reggae lyrics on a smooth tune of slight coffee and heavy caramel notes into a sweet crescendo. dark enough for some and light enough for others with an extra helping of strong herbal hops to increase the poise and depth of this rebellious ale.

THE UNKINDNESS STOUT 6.6% 50bu
Sure to cause more mischief than a crew of ravens. This west coast style stout is ominous. Dark roast and pine aroma soars into deep chocolate and roasted coffee flavors, then lands with a lingering chocolate bitterness. This jet black tonic is a dark trickster that is skillfully capable of collecting all your coins and shiny things.

Best brewery in the flathead, and finally some good local beer in whitefish! Their 5 standard beers span the spectrum from easy drinking Initiation Ale to more complex flavors like Unkindness Stout- I have been impressed by each one. Consistent and professional beer. The couple of random appearing beer on the menu I've tried have been great as well. My only complaint has been the immediate popularity of the place, can be hard to get a beer sometimes, good problem to have. Look forward to Bonsai growing in the future, and trying more creative beer.

Felt very hipster. The place has a large variety of IPAs. The beer was ok and I wasn't able to try the food. Seems like a popular place for locals. Parking sucked and the place to order beer seemed odd. Interesting brewery at least. It's worth a try.
