Pleasant, friendly service. The 1/2 rack of ribs was tender and smoky and absolutely delicious! The slaw and cob corn were good and peach cobbler. Sweet tea is Southern good. Nice atmosphere. Love the view of the pit and the pitmaster was tending it regularly.  The restroom was immaculate which speaks volumes for the establishment. I will definitely return if I'm in the area!

Hadn't been to Bob Sykes in quite awhile even though it's very close to our home. Why? Same reason we won't go back after today for a long time. The staff is nice & friendly, service is quick, but the BBQ is just not very good. Had a rib & pork combo. The portions were huge, but the meat (with the exception of 1 rib) was tough & dry. The fries, cabbage & bread were very good, so I filled up on that.

Excellent food, I would suggest that they leave the sauce off and customer put on how much they want.  They put to much on.
The collards & potato salad was homemade and really good.  You get plenty to eat.

The food is good and have been eating there for years. Great customer service. Family owned, never disappointed. Always busy but they work fast so you don't wait long. Desserts are the best.

Great Taste and awesome service. I come from Germany and the waitress gave me great recommendations for my first Alabama Barbecue. Next time when I‘m in Bessemer I will be here again.
