It is not beautiful as they described. Mosquitoes everywhere. Don't forget repellents. There is no clean lake to swim don't fool yourself about swim signs to the lake. They had wash rooms near our camp site. But it was crowded. But we were camping so didn’t care about that. Buy lot of fire woods. It was little expensive at camping center. They asked us to stop music around 10. But we had fun until 12 and they came to camp site and asked us to stop politely. We had a nice experience not super one.

My family and I love taking day trips from Milwaukee any time of year. There is so much to do here! From camping, to hiking trails, to dirt biking, to swimming, to fishing, to shooting off model rockets...the possibilities are endless! 
We tried to do our first camping trip at Bong mid November, but it didn't work out in our favor. The cable on our camper snapped and completely ruined our weekend. Thankfully we weren't too far from home. The staff was so sympathetic and supportive while we tried to figure out what we were going to do. They even gave us a refund for part of our stay. 
I would highly recommend this park for everything. It's one of the best!

Staff incredibly unhelpful and inflexible. Bought our yearly pass but had to hike elsewhere. Poor customer service. Hoping for better in the future.

We love this state park! It’s a short drive from Milwaukee, for a quick getaway. This weekend we are camping for the last of the season. We came for the Eco-Halloween Hike. There are no bathrooms, and no water through the whole state park! The campground is very packed. There are a couple pit toilets, yet they’re filthy, and full of bugs and bees. There isn’t water to fill up for handwashing and dishes, and apparently the dump stations for campers, is also closed. Signs say, Sorry for the Inconvenience’, an inconvenience doesn’t even begin to cover it! We’ve camped for this weekend and hike before, and the bathrooms were still open. I cannot believe with a very full campground and a hike advertised, this is how the park is functioning. Very disappointed! We enjoy late season camping with our family, and thankfully we are used to roughing it. I can’t imagine those people that were less prepared than us. Such a bummer. I guess we will only camp here during the regular season. They should have posted this info on their website!

Multiuse recreation area lives up to its name. Live fire dog training, rocket launching, horseback riding, motocross, camping, birdwatching all in one (large) place.
