Bonham Electric, Inc. was established in October of 1959 by brothers Bob and Chuck Bonham. From their hard work and determination, the Bonham name quickly became synonymous with "electricity" in the Miami Valley. I had Bonham Electric install an exterior sub-panel and run power to a hot tub and electrical outlets for an outdoor kitchen along with other miscellaneous items.  Throughout the process, they were professional, prompt, and knowledgeable and they provided an excellent finished product.  Not only did they accommodate my changing scope of work as the project grew, they actually invoiced me for less than what was originally quoted.  They will be my only call for any future electrical needs.

About a year ago, we were having issues with frequent flickering of our lights.  It had happened occasionally in the past, when the AC or furnace would kick on, no big deal.  It had started happening much more frequently throughout the day and thought we should have an electrician take a look to make sure there were nothing dangerous causing this.

I initially called another local company describing the issue, and they told me they couldn't get anyone out to check it our FOR OVER A MONTH!  Called Bonham Electric - they said they couldn't guarantee they could be out same day, but he was going to call his guys already out in the field and check on their status.  He let me know that he would call back by 1:00pm to let me know if they'd be able to come back.  Heard back from them around noon to let me know they could be at my house by 3:00pm that day.  Two technicians came out - wish I could remember their names - and did a very thorough job looking for the issue.  They tested inside the house and out at the box where the electric lines enter my house.  They tested with one appliance running, multiple running, etc, and finally determined the issue was that I wasn't actually getting enough electricity supplied to my house. I don't know all the technical terms, but there is a minimum current that should be coming in that wasn't, and Bonham Electric said they would call DP&L to explain the issue to them to get someone out to fix it.  Jeff Bonham said to give DP&L about 2 weeks, and if I didn't seem an improvement, to give him a call back.  At some point, DP&L must have come out and fixed the issue.

As a sidenote, the guys who came to diagnose my issue noticed that with me having an older house, I didn't have some sort of electrical ground (for the water heater I think) and offered to install it.  I agreed, and they did that quickly and for a fair price.  Will definitely use this company in the future if I have any further electrical needs.

We recently had all of our electrical switches replaced in our home.  We chose Bonham Electric because they were HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  I am so glad we chose them.  Paul was the electrician who arrived.  I thought the work was going to take all day.  He was done in a few hours!!!!  The total cost was less than I anticipated.

Very impressed with professionalism and skill. The job we had asked for turned out to be much more complex than anticipated, requiring three visits and 16 hours of work, but they stuck to the original cost estimate. We would definitely call Bonham again in future.
