I stopped into book people with a need of a book that was "a love story that is fictional but historically correct." without a second thought the sales woman had a great suggestion for me as well as offering other authors in that category as well. What great knowledge of their product ! I am beyond pleased with the service i got there!

I personally liked the Book People here in Sioux City. It might not be big or have a huge variety like Barnes & Noble, but it has a charm to it and the people are friendly and helpful. They are big on children's stuff which is good if you have kids. They have a great variety in the kids books and merchandise. Other than books they have other things of good interest. Book People is a good choice in something cozy and a bit simple. Barnes & Noble gets a bit over rated and tedious sometimes.

This is a fantastic book store with a great selection. It's good to have a locally owned independent bookstore in the area that values my opinion and helps me track down all the great reads that I am looking for.
