This place has been the most inconsistent rental company I have ever rented from. They communicate with their tenants through text message and don't communicate well. I decided to end my lease early and move due to some roommate complications and was full expecting a very large fee as specified in the lease, I spoke to 3 different people in the office about it and was told 2 different amounts. Through text messaging the office had agreed on a move out day then 2 days before the day we had agreed upon they told me "be out by tomorrow or pay $100 per day". When I turned in my keys I gave them my forwarding address, and told me my security deposit would be mailed back to me in 2 weeks. I call after 2 weeks, they haven't mailed it, tell me it'll be a month and need my forwarding address again. It's been a full month now and I still haven't received my money. They were also constantly messaging us saying maintenance would be out in our apartment and they would never show up. And, they charged my roommate $30 to pour Drano down her sink. Don't rent with this company, they are ridiculously unorganized and it will just be a headache for you.

Do not recommend this company. We have sent in multiple work orders and they get back to us with words only sometimes and there is no action taken. Everything they have actually responded to (which is rare) has had half effort put in. You can tell they do the bare minimum. Communication is out of the question with this company. It has been the most frustrating thing trying to work with these people. DONT RECOMMEND

Promised parking but then wasn't given a space. Promised next available. Gave to someone else. Promised again and again given to someone else. No apologies. Upon move in washer leaked everywhere. Took weeks to fix. No apologies given. Over priced apathetic group. We will not renew and don't recommend this group.

So my bf/ roommate left a review over a week ago about the dissatisfaction that we had with our property and through renting with this company. After 3 days, he finally got a response on his review from the rental company telling him that they've tried to reach out to us "several times" about our concerns. That's a joke... because never once have either of us received a phone call, voicemail, email, or anything from Boone High Country Rentals since the day we turned our keys in. And they do have all of our contact information. They even left their contact information in case we wanted to get ahold of them. And you better believe I have tried. I have called 4 times now, left a voicemail for Charles Wilson with the number he provided and even had Hunter, an employee there, leave a sticky note right on Charles' desk telling him to call me back in regards to our concerns. It's been close to a week now and still have yet to hear back from anyone. Kind of similar to how our entire 14 months of renting with them went anytime we needed something fixed... I also find it funny that all 4 times I have called they tell me Charles "just stepped out."
I guess moving in new tenants to rip off is a higher priority than attending to problems with old ones. Coming up on 3 weeks since we moved out and still waiting for our full security deposit to be returned. 
And don't be fooled by the few good reviews they do have.. they're mostly from employees that work for them.

I was a tenant with Boone High County Rentals for only one year and I will not be doing business with them any longer. I had septic issues severe enough to where sewage overflowed out of my toilet and also out of the drain of my shower. This was not a one time issue, these septic issues occured more than thirty times during my stay. I talked with maintenance when they came to address one of the upper units after attempting to find a solution with BHCR only to hear that it had been an ongoing problem for three years with the worst septic issue being a BATHTUB overflowing with raw sewage in a third floor unit. This company will not address any issues, no matter the sanitation requirements, unless threatened with impending lawsuits. Even when they finally got around to repairing the issue by “installing” a new septic tank two feet in front of my door, the septic issues never went away, just weakened some. Overall, BHCR has poor management and takes little consideration for their tenants. I will never do business with them again.
