Non-profit museum on Maine's Midcoast engineering experiences with Maine history for all ages!
There’s a lot to see and do during a visit to the Boothbay Railway Village.
Our thirty acre setting includes more than two dozen buildings many of which are filled with displays of artifacts related to Maine’s railroading history, the advent of the automobile and the everyday life of Mainers from the mid-eighteenth through the mid-nineteenth centuries. Our outstanding Model Railroad Exhibit is still under construction and visitors witness the changes first hand as they visit time and again.
The Boothbay Railway Village's mission is to conserve, display and interpret artifacts, authentic period structures and technologies utilized in Maine during the historical period of the Mid-19th through the Mid-20th Centuries.
