Bordertown Coffee in Minneapolis is a haven for coffee connoisseurs. The extensive menu boasts classic coffee choices, along with an array of tempting teas and tea lattes. My latte experience was nothing short of exceptional—the milk was perfectly prepared, consistently creamy, and adorned with the perfect amount of foam. What sets Bordertown apart is its unique location inside an old house. The ambiance is a delightful blend of history and modern comfort, with inviting tables, plush couches, and tucked-away study nooks. The attention to detail in decor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall enjoyment of your visit. Bordertown Coffee is not just a coffee shop; it's a destination where every sip and surroundings contribute to a memorable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking both quality beverages and a charming environment.
Bordertown is by far one of my favorite places near the U of M campus. You really have to look for it since it’s in the middle of the block. Love the charm of the building, makes for a great study or work spot if you can find a seat. Drinks are good, tried a seasonal beverage and it did not disappoint. They definitely put care into your order.
Bordertown is sweet! Yes - great place to do school or other kinds of work Yes - lovely staff Yes - atmosphere/vibe Yes - for a formal/informal date :
gets crowded at times, but I don't mind. I wish the upstairs would be converted to more seating. The iced miel is very good. the staff are friendly and I'm absolutely in love with the window area w/ the plants edit: please expand hours into the evening and weekends!!!
Love the place and coffee. You will wait 15 min for a cold brew though, because only one person makes drinks--so your quick "Grab and Go" drinks get stuck behind 6 in house lattes. Not sure if this is true for drip or not, would love an answer.
What an amazing hidden gem. The atmosphere and the vibe are so well suited for studies aor chilling out. The coffee was far from great but it's the US after all.Food: 3/5
My favorite coffee shop on the UMN campus! I usually get a flavored latte here and it is always a good balance w/ the coffee and flavor. Their pastries are also very good I really like the rosemary+ chocolate chip muffin. Seems like a great place to study or meet up to work on a group project, although I usually just get my coffee to-go first thing in the morning so I'm not sure how busy it gets later in the day. Cool old building and seems like a great space!
I am a big fan of Bordertown! Here you find a warm and cozy atmosphere with the quiet activity of a library, well-crafted drinks, and excellent service.Food: 5/5
Absolute coziness!! Cappuccino and banana bread very good. The lady at the counter, smiling and cute!
Mmmmmm....yah-what everyone already said about this place. My problems were which hot bevie I wanted & to enjoy it inside or outside. The only problem was a full bicycle stand which is REALLY a great problem to have - sigh*
