Looking for something special in Boulder? The Boulder Twin Lakes Inn, a modern country inn located in the quiet, residential neighborhood of Twin Lakes/Gunbarrel in northeast Boulder, welcomes business travelers, visitors to Boulder, and relocating families.

All of our 33 spacious suites are non-smoking, have cable TV, private bath, private telephone with free local calls, free wireless internet, and fully equipped mini-kitchens with a microwave, refrigerator, dishware and in room coffee service. Adjacent to our property is a park with playground equipment, a pond, and lots of open space for families. The Inn also has a central kitchen, containing two electric ranges and cookware, in which guests can pursue their more creative cooking passions.

Daily and weekly rates are available. Guests enjoy complimentary use of a fine athletic club. An extensive complimentary continental buffet breakfast and complimentary newspaper are available daily.

It's old and dated but has a real charm that, in my opinion, makes up for what it lacks in modern amenities. The front desk lady was SO sweet when I checked in and let me come in much earlier than check-in. I do think there may be some updates needed--the bathroom smelled quite strongly of mildew. My room faced the lobby and breakfast room so it was a little loud but at night very quiet to sleep in. For the price I definitely think it's a good place to stay, seemed very clean and homey. Don't come here thinking you're getting a luxury hotel, you shouldn't as the price doesn't reflect such. I would definitely stay again

Obviously not a high class hotel, but it was very comfortable. Had a very at home feeling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The have a large kitchen to cook your own food in and a BBQ out front to use. Is kind of in a neighborhood with a nice walk way along a river /marsh which makes for a comfortable and quiet atmosphere. Also had bikes to borrow to go for a light cruise around town.

This was a great inn! The people were nice! The room was great! The right amount of linens, which is rare! When I went into the room 1 light wasn't working they came right in and fixed it immediately! I give them a thumbs up 👍!

They do have some issues. The front desk is not manned at all times but there is an innkeeper on site at all times, unfortunately the number to reach the inn keeper simply didn't work (delayed check-in by 30min). When I did find the innkeeper the room reserved for me was never "updated" as being clean but they assured me it was (trash in the can and a damp towel on the shower curtain) But despite this it is a well equipped and quiet old-fashioned inn. Would stay again.

This is not a real inn. It's a makeshift motel that's dingy and unwelcoming especially if you have young children. The staff couldn't be any more rude and unfriendly. One woman in particular who works here and I'm not sure if she is one of the owners or not is horribly unfriendly and rude. I had asked for my room to be cleaned as I requested that I needed it done before i was going to shower since the cleaning staff leaves after 12 and she looked at me as if I had no right asking that. She really was not approachable and I felt extremely uncomfortable and not welcome when passing by in the lobby. Then one night she knocked on our door and said there was complaints (our children were noisy etc). We paid way too much for this place (152 per night) and to be treated like that is unacceptable. So our children are acting like children- we don't need to be scolded or harassed. Its not our fault that the walls are too thin and not sound proof. Perhaps their future "renovations" should include that as well.

Update-

I am absolutely disgusted and shocked to see such a flat out lie from this owner. I was actually in the process of editing my review as I didn't mention that blood had been on my comforter not just once but twice!!! I discovered it after the first night and told someone at the front desk. After it was replaced i discovered a few days later more blood on the new replacement so I said something else. I took pictures as well. And now apparently because the owner saw my review before our stay ended he has completely twisted everything in a threatening accusatory manner in order for me to remove the review. He had called my husband telling him if we don't remove the review we cannot stay the extra day that I had added on. My husband had told him about the blood on the sheets as well. And now I just saw this response which is absolutely a lie. His false accusations actually are a form of cyber harassment.
