About

Brewery. Restaurant. Pub.
Breckenridge Brewery has been serving up fresh craft beer and delicious food since February 1990. Come join us at our original location on Main St. in Breckenridge for lunch, dinner or a pint.

Story

Back in the 1980s, our founder Richard Squire was your typical ski bum – with one significant difference. He had a knack for making extraordinary home brews. For years, only his closest friends were able to enjoy his creations, but it didn’t take long for Richard to realize that his talents needed to be shared with the world.

So, in February of 1990, Richard opened the doors of Breckenridge Brewery, Colorado’s third craft brewery, in charming and historic Breckenridge. He wanted to serve fresh, quality beer and homemade food in a relaxed atmosphere that everyone could enjoy. It didn’t take long for locals and visitors alike to appreciate these simple values, and within a few short years Breckenridge Brewery was the highlight of Main Street.

In 1992, the Brewery expanded its operations to Denver so that we could share the magic with more folks in Colorado. The Denver facility was the first Colorado brewery to package craft beer in 6-packs and 12-packs. Today, you can find our collection of beers in 32 states. However, our mission remains the same: create balanced, approachable and interesting hand-crafted beers.

The original brewery in Breckenridge remains a favorite spot for families and friends to gather. Our humble beginning as a mountain town craft brewery is important to our company, and we strive to keep our history and culture alive in all that we do. Breckenridge Brewery has grown from a small 3,000-barrel-a-year brewpub into one of the most successful craft beer and restaurant companies in the nation. We now craft well over 40,000 barrels of fresh beer annually, and we operate five brewpubs and ale houses in the state of Colorado. We had a huge party (17) and they took our reservation for 5pm on a Friday night. Food was amazing and unique. So many choices. My daughter found lots to order from the gluten free choices. My brother said the mashed potatoes were the best he ever had. I am not really a beer person, but all of the other beer drinkers in our party loved the $2 off happy hour draft beer before 6pm. Everything was delicious. Our new favorite place. We ordered way too much food. After the beer and amazing beer cheese fries, I barely had enough room to taste my mac and four cheese and the elk Las Vegas burger. So good. Great service.

Really nice place on the edge of town with a good happy hour deal (Sun-Thur: half off apps). Personally I stopped in at lunch and got a pulled pork sandwich with mashed potatoes. The food was really good, everything from the gravy to the bread. It also goes without saying that their beer list was 10/10. Special note however, Mon-Thurs the brewery does a special for locals. $7 for a sandwich and a $5 beer of your choice. Totally worth it.

Packed, lively, beery, cozy food, sports...top notch. Great server (some Silent Bob looking beer guru mind reader dude) talked me on to some stellar brew. Great burgers and I'd gladly serve the candied bacon cheese fries to the Dalai Lama or Mother Theresa--that good. Great joint, decent prices.

First time to Breck and had to stop in at Breckenridge Brewery. Great spot for casual beers and dinner. Beer selection was solid and the food was great after a day on the mountain. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely recommend.

Beer was excellent as always (love the vanilla porter). The gluten-free buns were pretty dry for both the burger and the steak sandwich. Steak was well done but we requested medium. Best dish was the four cheese Mac and cheese, very good! This was probably a 3 star visit but this place is so good I am giving 4 based on past visits. Saw someone order the nachos and I recall those were excellent (and huge) too. Worth a visit especially for the beer!
