Website states they will give you IV for wisdom tooth removal but they DO NOT!!! DO NOT make an appointment here for wisdom teeth removal. Go to an oral surgeon. My son had an awful and terrifying experience here. The dentist should have known better than to try and do that procedure while he was awake. I have never in my life heard of anyone being awake through SURGERY! Shame on them!!! I know others who go here and love the place and staff. However, every patient should know ahead of time what to expect. Hopefully that will change in the future so no one else gets a bad experience.

My husband, my son and myself all go to Dr. O'Brien. In a houseful of dentist phobias going to him was a dream! He is amazing! My husband is a driver so it is hard to keep him on a schedule, but Dr. O'Brien always works with him and gets him in quick. My son who is deathly afraid of needles went in for his wisdom teeth and was put at such ease that he is not afraid nor does he fuss about going to the dentist! If you are looking for a great dentist look no further!

I am 8 months pregnant and needed to get my wisdom tooth removed. Dr. O'Brien and his staff did an amazing job talking me though everything. And they were so fast! They even let my five year old see the tooth after! I didn't feel a thing and it hasn't even been 24 hours and I feel great! The staff is so nice and friendly! Thank y'all so much for everything.

I had an appointment with Dr. Brennan O'Brien this morning. I was running late but he and his staff were nice enough to still excuse me for my tardiness. I was scheduled to get four of my wisdom teeth removed and 1 tooth that had cavity decay. At the beginning they were trying their best to make me feel comfortable. Especially his assistant, she was awesome. He told me not to grab his hands but moan or move my hands if I feel pain during the procedure. While I was receiving the shots to numb my mouth I also asked for gas to help me relax more and received it. I wasn't at ease at all. In total, I received approximately 12 shots. During the process of removing the tooth with the cavity it was like a nightmare from hell. I stated to Dr O'Brien that I still felt pain in the inside of my mouth. He stopped, gave me another shot in the root of the tooth. He quickly resumed within ONLY a few seconds. He was extremely rough to the point where he was standing over me, pulling from various, if not all directions. At that point, the pain was excruciating. I continued moaning from the pain but still trusted him because he stated, "I will take good care of you Ms. Harris". Once that tooth was removed I raised my hands up, removed the gas and told him that I was done. I stated that I was still in pain and I didn't want my wisdom teeth removed. He put his instruments down, stormed out of the room while mumbling "she is so disrespectful!" My mom and I both heard him say this. I only told him that I was done and motioned with my hands for him to stop. How is that disrespectful? His dental assistant stayed in and she was very humble. She still talked me through what I needed to do at home. She was very kind. My mom was present and witnessed these activities and was very uneasy about his unprofessionalism. During checkout she asked the receptionist if she could speak to Dr. O'Brien. The receptionist proceeded to knock on his office door and told him my mom would like to speak to him. With aggression, we heard him saying, "Where is she!" He swings open the door and says "Yes ma'am!" My mom told him the way he stormed off leaving his patient laying there was very unprofessional and she doesn't have disrespectful children (in reference to him calling me disrespectful). She also told him that I have the right to turn down any additional service if I'm uncomfortable and in pain. Dr O'Brien says, "I try to help everyone one... YOU PEOPLE...I try to help you out with the free service..." My Mom stopped him and said "You People?" He then says, "I'm not going to do the race thing with you." He obviously made a reference to my race and/or my financial status by saying "you people" and "I try to help you out with free services." After making those statements he told us to "leave his premises and never back." My mother said "With pleasure and we won't be coming back." We walked out the door and we heard him locking his office entrance door behind us. I am a black woman and Mississippi resident who receives Medicaid. I am already looked down upon by certain people because of my status and I sincerely Dr. O'Brien is one of them after today's incident. He was very nice and pleasant in the beginning but once I refused further services from him it's as if his true colors were revealed. Once he realized he would only receive payment for the one tooth he pulled instead of the originally scheduled 5 teeth he was very unhappy. I am very offended and hurt by his actions and I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to him! I will be filing a complaint with the MDA. Anyone who feels disdain about helping the less fortunate should not be licensed and working with people.
