When I was a volunteer there the principal did nothing and even rewarded a student for throwing a desk. The student came back, after flipping a desk, saying that he would do the same the next day because he knew he would get rewarded for it. I volunteered there frequently but the principal was either supposedly in training or on vacation so she was never there to do anything. Miss Billing was the principal, so as long as she's there nothing will get done. I know for a fact that multiple teachers went to the district to complain about her but the district did nothing. The district could care less. Do something about it if you really care about your students and they're not just a number to add to your paycheck!!! I don't understand why MISS BILLING is there another year. She used another teacher as her scape gate for all the principal's failings and got another teacher fired for her stupidity but yet she's still principal. She obviously has friends in high places because she does not deserve to be there, yet she is still there. DON'T BLAME THE TEACHERS they're doing the best they can. THE DISTRICT, THE PRINCIPALS are the ones who could care less, they don't care or could care less. As long as they get paid they're happy but they could care less about the children. Don't send your child here unless you want him to be bullied or abused. The teachers will do their best but the principal will do nothing and the district will do nothing. Don't blame the teachers their trying their best. Like I've said, I was a volunteer, yet the people in the district don't do a single thing. The teachers and office do the best they can with what they have. The principal just blames it on everyone else even though she obviously can't control a single thing herself. Like I said before, she obviously has friends in high places, if not she would've been fired long ago.

When I was in 4th grade at Brentwood I was doing flips and the splits and some 6th graders came up to me and told me I was gonna get booty raped when my mom talked to the principal she did nothing about it so I hated that school it's horrible now I'm in 6th grade and left that school

My child just started attending this school. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I have seen things that are very inappropriate. I have seen teachers, yell at students for no reason, while waiting for the bus. the lack of supervision after school is ridiculous. At the Car pick up line, I had one kid call me out, throwing gang signs and saying "west side", he couldn't have been more than 10, and no teacher watching them. I also don't like that the school pick up line is around the block on the side of the school. Kids stand out in the sun for 20 minutes, because it takes that long to get through that line. so kids are standing outside in 90+degree weather, with no protection from the sun. the concept is great for school drop off, because they just jump out of the vehicles, but for pickups it takes forever, and no shade for the kids This is just observations I've seen in the >1month my kid has been in school.

I have two children in this school 6th and 3rd, and they have awesome teachers, the only thing I don't approve of or like is that it's by the park where I've seen numerous drug deals and people smoking weed in the parking lot next to the school, the office staff could be a little more attentive, there was three secretaries in there one morning, me the only parent and I stood there for 8 mins just to be asked rudely what I wanted. Other than that no complaints thus far.
