I ordered their famous sweet potato cake for a coworker's birthday and even paid for it ahead of time. Went to pick it up today. It was the first time I was there and loved the atmosphere. I told the lady at the counter my name and she went to retrieve it. While I was waiting I asked the other lady who was very kind and pleasant if I could order 2 slices to go. She was very pleasant and even thanked me. When the other lady came back with my cake. She flopped it on the counter, taped it up and pushed it towards me while making a disgusting face as if she was appalled to assist me. Not even a thank you. I just thanked her, smiled and walked away. I guess I am not the Elite Augusta Street clientele she is used to and my business there does not matter. I guess that will be my first and last time there visiting there. I am all for supporting local businesses and supporting them to the fullest but if you treat people like that. You are only hurting yourselves. Thank you to the employee at the Brick Street Cafe for not making me feel like I am welcome there.

They got a sweet potato pie that'll just kill ya. Delicious. I've been told to go back and try the sweet potato cake. Will do!

Food is good, it's got lots to choose from. My favorite was the oyster po boy. We had the carrot cake for dessert. Service was pretty quick for the lunch hour, and very friendly!

This is a great place to kick back, relax, visit, and have lunch for a great cause. The staff there is so helpful and it's heartwarming to visit with them while they work. They do a great job!
