This is a real roadside stop. If you are expecting something fancy, just keep on driving. This is an authentic Mom and Pop kind of place. The food was good and reasonably priced with good service and conversation.

4/29/17 My boyfriend and I took a day off work last week and snuck up to South Lake to snowboard at Sierra at Tahoe. We drove up to Kyburz on Monday night and checked in to the Strawberry Lodge, but not before making one final stop at Brigance Roadhouse. The bar was pretty empty and the owner working was very friendly. He recommended a beer that we both tried (since they don't serve liquor) and it was a good recommendation. He also suggested a few things on the menu but we left after our one drink and drove the last few miles to our lodge. We stopped by again on our way home after boarding Tuesday. They are closed Tuesdays! Total disappointment because I would have loved to try something off the menu while looking at the pretty river views. Definitely a cool spot to check out on your way to/from Tahoe.

No crowd at 2 pm on a Thursday. Great bacon cheeseburgers. Cold beer. Great views of the river. MTV classic was entertaining! The scruffy looking owner was very polite and welcoming.

I Love this Place!! The owners are old roadies and have cool stuff on the walls and a nice little stage. The waitress was a very nice young lady who greeted us with a cheery "Hello!, what can we do for you?" and showed us to a booth across from the fireplace. We thoroughly enjoyed the Nachos, The Bison Chili was Awesome!! and My Cheese Steak the best I've ever had, They said they get the rolls from Philly so the sandwiches are just right and the Sweet Cherry Peppers are the way to do it.... The Draught IPA was cold and The Old Numbskull Excellent!! For dessert, we had the Black Cherry Baked Custard Pie...Again Awesome!! After dinner we went to the bar for another Numbskull and chatted with the bartender, who showed us concert posters and shirts, we were occasionally interrupted by people and groups of people requesting to use the restroom, the Bartender replied that restrooms were for customers and directed them to the nearest service station. I bought a Foo Fighters "Crew" shirt for $30 and a nice glass "tobacco" pipe for $20 All around great time great people I will be back often.
