My family just came back from our first ever camping trip and it was a great idea to have it at Brook n Wood because all 13 of us had a blast! Vanessa was helpful with booking and planning the trip over the phone. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating - thank you Jeff! Activities for the kids were great (hayride, arts & crafts, wiffle ball, pool, basketball court) and the place was very clean. I rather have an active and observant owner on site instead of people who are negligent and careless. I felt the place was safe and the people there are great! Hope to see you guys again soon!

NEVER RETURNING!!!!!While the campsites are beautiful the owners have nothing better to do then watch your every single move.  They will drive past your campsite multiple times a day to "check out" what's going on and then inform you of your wrong doings either at the end of your stay or in a passive aggressive manor.  Owners should focus on families having fun, being upfront with their concerns and updating their campsite.  After 20 years of camping, my family will not return here.  It is not enjoyable to be watched all day long. Nit picking is their way of living.

I do NOT recommend this place.  I have been camping over 25 years and we were uncomfortable the entire time we were there.  It was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a campground.   The rules are so ridiculous and the owners are uptight and rude.  They were also disrespectful in front of my children.  If you want to have a nice family camping trip this is not the place.

This place has the basics, full hook ups and poor WiFi but it works. The cost was more than we spent in Virginia Beach on the beach in a state of the art RV resort.

We were seasonal for three years and the owners were very controlling. They raised their seasonal fees each year but never did any improvements at this camp ground. We paid for our electric every other month which were very high and now that we are a differnet camp ground we found out how much we were taken advantage of. Our electric bill there was $100 -150 per month and now that we're are at a much nicer camp paying a small faction of this. We were scam. We have been seasonal campers for over 30 years and never have been treated this way. Stay away from Brooknwood.
