Food wasn't too bad, the salmon fish & chips is pretty good.. the environment and the space however is definitely worth 5 star! Go during brunch time, definitely photography worthy! A must visit in Lake Tahoe..

The food was.... Well, I don't know. I never got to eat it. We were sat down and then we were left waiting for some one to take our order for more than half an hour. I wasn't taking time, of course, but I think that's what it was. After a while we called someone over and she told us she had to call our server. At which point I found myself wondering if it's really that hard to take the order themselves. Well, she left, so we assumed that she was going to get our server. But, of course she didn't. We waited for about 5 more minutes and then we were approached by the person who we assumed was our server. But of course she wasn't. It was just some one else walking around. We told her how long we'd been waiting and she said the same thing the last Person said. She left, and some minutes later she asked us if we hadn't been served yet, we told her we hadn't. So she said the same thing she had said before but also added an excuse. There was a big party that needed serving, so we had to wait. Ok, that's cool, though I didn't see any big party. In fact the restaurant wasn't even full. Then, the party did arrive, but like 2 minutes later. And even then, this is the restaurant where I saw the most people standing around doing nothing. All of which could've grabbed a pen and spent 30 seconds taking down our order. We left, obviously. From a food perspective, I wouldn't be able to tell you, but the service? Well, you already read my review.

I love the setting - Lake Tahoe is second to none, in my book - so I like Brooks for a lot of reasons!  It is conveniently located and the indoors of Edgewood is beautiful.  The unfortunate side of my experiences at Brooks is that, mainly, it is not exactly like Edgewood the restaurant, even though they are in the same place.  Edgewood Restaurant tends to be consistent (having eaten there many times 2003-2017) and have excellent service and food. Brooks, perhaps it is still in development, but I have been there in summers and winters 2014-2017 and the service is spotty, host/hostess seems unsure and/or rude at times, the food is unpredictable in quality, seating is extremely limited especially indoors, and there are specific times where my guests asked me why the restaurant staff seemed to provide better service to those dressed in Golf attire. I had not picked up that, but it was brought to my attention. Hopefully things will improve...I love where Brooks is located and I have a lot of good memories there. I especially like the cocktails and nachos in the summer on the deck: after a long day at the beach it's perfect.

Food was amazing, we ate there twice! Views excellent and prices reasonable considering it's $260 for a round of golf, would highly recommend this place - Dave and Erin from Melbourne, Australia
