A sudden rain storm and hungry bellies had us heading for a place to escape. As we read the menu outdoors, a woman passing by said “best burgers in New York”. That was enough of a testament for me. I felt like I’d stepped back in time to pubs in England and Australia. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with colourful chalkboards spelling out the food and drinks plus the cosiness of the wooden chairs and tables. We were immediately seated when we walked in and we endeavoured to dry off. They do hamburgers differently here - in pita bread. I asked for “chips” with mine when I should’ve said “fries” a common mistake we Australians make in the USA. The burgers were flavoursome with a texture I’m not used to, yet still tasty. To go with our burgers we had margaritas. Service was very good. Decor inviting. Outdoor dining available - which would be lovely hadn’t it been raining. Toilets antiquated yet somewhat charming. We will return.
Only popped in for a pint but ended up staying a bit longer due to the atmosphere, really decent pub/bar ...service was friendly and made to feel welcome but the star of the show was this food. I don't mean this in a bad way but I had no expectations for the food, it was a last pit stop before heading to the airport and I was thoroughly impressed. I had the veggie pitta and fries...loved both. Would stop back for a pint or food anytime.
Genuinely one of the best Cobb salads that I have ever had! My husband had the smoked salmon sandwich and he said he loved it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Kenn's Broome Street Bar is a longtime casual neighborhood bar that serves regular and vegetarian bar food and weekend brunch specials. The food is great. They introduced me to eat a burger patty in a pita bread. The service is great and the drinks are at reasonable price. It offers friendly vibes with good music. They still use an old-fashioned hand-written receipt card when you ask for a bill. It's a good casual happy hour spot.
I know the pic looks like slop but the chili cheese hand cut fries are fire!! Good selection of brews. With a belgian strong ale at a reasonable price. 2 and done kinda good beer! Quaint spot with a corner view at the intersection. Defo recommended for any tourist. As i am one from miami. This place is many things, but subpar isn't one!
Excellent lovely bar. Fantastic salads and beer. Good looking crowd in their 30s and 40s mostly.Food: 5/5
I read the reviews saying the Cobb Salad is bomb. Ordered it, and it’s true. So delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Upon a friend’s recommendation, I stopped in for lunch for a burger and a side of hand-cut fries. They did not disappoint. Though the fries are not crisp due to them being thicker, they were tasty. The burger was fresh, tasty and cooked exactly medium as ordered. The staff is friendly as well.Recommended dishesHand-Cut French Fries
Food is disgusting. I decided to try for a second time but just get a drink woman in the flannel is the rudest human I have encountered in New York. Went to the bar and waited 15+ minutes for a drink and when I wasn’t served I decided I would use the restroom and was denied restroom service. When is said I was planning to buy a drink but couldn’t wait she said “get out of here” and physically grabbed my friend in front of all of the guests. It was mortifying and I have never been treated by another human like this let alone a restaurant I am giving my Business to. I think she thought she was better than everyone. Who is this woman?! Let’s find her I hope this is not the manager if so I feel bad for the staff! Manager I assume rude lady in the flannel commented about a tip but i didn’t event get served in the first place to get the chance to leave a tip. Got asked to leave when using the bathroom while waiting for the waiter. This place is insane and this lady has something seriously wrong with her to treat other humans like this. Why is she allowed to run this place. When is she going to realize her customers are living beings. Shame
Real shame to give it 2 stars. We had spent an hour or so with the kids the bar was half full waiter was very friendly then the manager came over asked us if we were eating we said no she turn to the waiter and said get then the bill this is the rudest service I have ever experienced and we eat out alot. We'd ordered a few drinks had some fries and used the duke box seems very short sighted that our low spend $60 wasn't valued. Such a shame the manger completely killed the vibe for no reason at all.
