I went in today to buy all new gear to replace my 10+ year old skis, boots, bindings, poles, and helmet. It was quite busy at the shop presumably due to being just after Christmas, but I worked with John and he quickly narrowed down on what I was looking for and offered products that weren't necessarily the most expensive, but were the best ones for my needs. I knew what skis I wanted going into the store (Nordica Enforcer 100s) but relied on his expertise to help with boots and bindings, and he certainly delivered. The amount of experience he has in professionally fitting boots paid dividends because he quickly narrowed down on what boots would work best. Even when I knew that I found the pair that would work for me, he had me try on a few other pairs just to ensure the fit was perfect - and perfect they were. I haven't even picked up the skis yet but am already more than satisfied with my purchase and experience at this shop - this goes without mentioning the fact that the total price for all the gear came in at a pretty astounding $150 less than what it would cost for the same equipment online. There is no reason to look elsewhere when a shop like Buchika's is around.

Stopped in 10 minutes before close and got a new pair of boots, no pressure to leave because they were closing. Sales guy was great. I love this store.

Went to get really old skis tuned and the owner saved me from getting hurt using the skis. Didn't charge me for the tune because he didn't want me to use the skis. Also recommended a great rental shop in North Conway. Very honest business.

I've been in the market for a bike child carrier seat that sit's behind the rider and above the rear bike wheel. I'm trying to fit this on a womens bike and I looked at 3 places before (Buchika's is not local for me) and bought one that didn't fit and had to return it. When I realized Buchika's was open on a Sunday, and I was in town visiting my parents I stopped by to see what they had after calling them to see if they had any in stock. 
The service was amazing, Dave showed me all available child carriers, what features they had and gave his honest opinion. I got none of this at the other bike shops/ sporting goods stores.
They installed it for free! Other places charged for installing the bike seat. I feel a lot better that it got installed properly there by someone who's done this before.
The bike we were putting this on probably needed a little tune up to be honest. Dave tightened up the breaks, made a few adjustments and again, did it for free, and it didn't seem to bother him at all, he was happy to just go ahead and do without me asking. 
The same bike seat I got was $100 more at another bike shop, looking around Buchika's prices seem much more reasonable than some other shops that just mark everything up. 

Next time I'm in the area and need something for our bike's I'll go there first.  Thanks for the great service.

When you arrive this store they try to push you to buy those more expensive ones first and when try to buy a cheap ones they are not motivated to help you.
I bought a not so expensive neither a not cheap, when I went back for a free tune up that they provide before 30 days after you buy a bike, I ask for fix several issues and the employee who received my bike said substimade comments about my bike, they left my bike with several issues after the tune up, I had to go back three times after ride test it.

I am planning to buy a better and more expensive bike but will not buy there, because very bad service.
