Strict and effective. Our family's experience has been positive. Quick to respond to calls. Courteous when pulled over (for burned out lights, etc). I saw a lot of negative reviews about the unfortunate situation with the boy with autism. One cop made a wrong call. The boy was NOT pushed to the ground BECAUSE he had autism. He was incorrectly identified as a person with drugs or under the influence of drugs who HAPPENED to be autistic. It was a sad situation, but to slander the whole department over it is mass hysteria.

Horrible Service. My sister was assaulted and despite their being a camera showing live footage, this departed did nothing, pursued nothing, leaving her with trauma and scars. Worst P.D. department I have ever encountered.

Our family appreciates the service that the Buckeye PD officers have given us. From recovering stolen items to checking on elderly neighbors, and talking to my kids while patrolling the area, they’ve been great. They have a tough job. Complete and utter embarrassment of a "police department". "Drug recognition expert"? Did you get your certificate from a cereal box? Just as soon as you hear terms like "drug recognition expert" you automatically know that the Buckeye PD is a policing for profit department. If you ever want to know why people don't like the police or trust the police, just take a look in the mirror. Hopefully the good people of Buckeye will stand together and disband the good old boy Nazi club.
