Upon arrival to Toronto and going through the retrieving of our luggage, the airport concourse signs pointed towards the car rental location. This was at night and in a place where I was not familiar with. However, upon arriving at the Budget Car Rental desk, the biggest warmest smile greeted me. If I could remember his name, he should be commended for his kindness and hospitality. We chatted for a moment, then he offered an upgrade that was difficult to refuse. Throughout our vacation, we enjoyed driving the BMW X2 as it safely got my family to our destinations. Even with the rain/snow we felt safe and secure. I’m considering trading in my truck for this model. I’m confident that when we return to visit Toronto, I will definitely contact Budget Car Rental. Cheers!

Missed our last flight of day! Thankfully Budget Rental was open and had not booked all rentals. We were very late nearly midnight but the staff was kind and helped us get on our way for the night. The rental was nice even though it was one of the last few left on the lot. The car lot is directly out the front doors and the return is directly behind the service counters. Quite a nice setup!

About to pick up my vechile. Mr salen very rude didnt greet at all didnt talk properly, didnt listen though i booked mystry car but he didnt give me choice ending up paying more. Not happy at all super dirty ending up returning dirty from inside as well no covid protocols at all

Overall, it was a good experience for a low-cost. The car midsize - 2021 Hyundai Elantra was in a good shape and the check-out process was quite easy. I believe the check-in could be better. They provide a paper for you to take notes on damages but they either provide a pen or explain what kind of damages you should take note. To avoid any surprises at the return, I took pictures of all small scratches and dents and asked the gentleman on the exit booth to lend me a pen. However, I believe it wasn't necessary at the end since the check-out was very quick and smooth.

We missed our flight and had to stay in Toronto over night.  Budget was willing to rent with only five minutes to spare.  We were able to get to the car and exit before everything shut down for the night.  Clean car and easy process.

Drop off was easy, but pick up even with reservation and doing the early check in didn’t make any difference. Fast track pick up booth wasn’t working. What’s the point of having it?!? The line up was outrageous!!! While the lady at the front desk answered all our inquiry politely I can’t give them more than 2 stars. After picking up the document stating our rental vehicle’s license plate we end up waiting for almost 45 minutes. After signing all necessary documents, we were instructed to go outside to wait for our car. After 15 minutes of no car yet, we were reassured our car should be ready soon. After 30 minutes my husband had to go ask again and only to find out our car was given to somebody else. We end up with a different vehicle. The manager should look into providing a better system. Also, they seem to share car with other rental company i.e., AVIS

I had a reservation and while the wait time was outrageous the service was fantastic. The lady agent did not have a GPS available so she upgraded my car to one with a built in GPS system. The bigger car was extremely comfortable and was really nice to drive. I appreciated the extra comfort.

We rented a vehicle from Budget Toronto Airport, and whilst the vehicle itself was fine, the customer service when we picked up the vehicle was demeaning. The line for people picking up rentals was very long, and there was only one agent serving that line full time, with one other agent attending the fast break counter, so we understand it was busy. Firstly, While walking to the counter, the agent shouted at me to present immediately my ID and credit card. She then angrily told me the name on the reservation and credit card MUST match I had put it in my partners name due to mistakenly thinking the reservation should be in the drivers name. Fair enough I had made a mistake, however my partner was there with me, both of our IDs were there and I had prepaid for the car. We were then questioned on our relationship - it got to the point where I even offered our mortgage documents to show our relationship status. So after asking us these questions she still had to go get her manager to deal with us. The way she spoke to us was SO demeaning - we were standing there, with our one year old child being made to feel like children ourselves, all she had to say politely was “sorry I can’t sort this myself, I need to get my manager” and it would have been fine. Her attitude toward us was awful and ruined the first part of our travels to Canada. The manager who “fixed it” was polite and helpful, but it hasn’t salvaged the experience for us. I would have preferred to have put this in an email directly to Budget, but I couldn’t find one to send it to. That’s the gist of our experience. Good luck!

We were incredibly impressed with how Budget was able to accommodate our family of 6 with NO reservation after Enterprise canceled our reservation with no warning upon arriving at Pearson International Airport. Budget was willing to go out of there way to get our family into a vehicle for the 6 days in Toronto! We had amazing front desk service and we were off and in a vehicle within 5 minutes! Incredibly grateful for Budget and the staff that cares about families and being able to accommodate our large family on such short notice! Thank you Budget!!

My car pickup was around 12am after a long flight. The service agent at the counter was very pleasant and so was the checkout personnel at the gate when I drove my rental out. Moreover, I was given a very clean, well-maintained, significantly new vehicle I felt safe. The provision of the small-SUV as the intermediate option was welcomed for sure. I was also not coerced/forced to getting the 'toll tag' , but was advised to stay away from the toll roads to avoid charges from the trans. dept. My drop-off was also very straight forward. For all these reasons, and the fact that I have been using for a long-time now 10+ years - work and personal travel, I recommend Budget car rental. Continue the great work in maintaining your quality and deal/price offerings!
