Can you Imagine sitting beside someone who has obviously not bathed for months? After sitting there for less than 15 minutes, I was so repulsed by the odor of the person near me that I left and will never return. The seats were all taken, so I could not move. I came for a passport, but conditions are so bad here that I will go someplace else. The library staff clearly are indifferent to this, and even seem to encourage it, since they laughed off my comment as if it was wrong of me to expect reasonable standards of cleanliness to be maintained by the patrons. I am shocked that any public facility would even allow something like this (shaking my head in amazement)! I don't blame the homeless so much as the library staff because clearly, you would think they are reasonable adults who would know better. If this was a restaurant, it would be closed as a public health hazard. Ask yourself, would you want to expose your child to this?

Some of the librarians are cute, that's the only reason I go and pretend to read.

There's LOTS to offer at this old school library. There's a bottom basement floor good for meetings. My kids girl scouts often meets there. There's the main floor with books for sale by the entrance. Free Wifi. If you go straight, you will see two nice ladies that can help you with any questions regarding the library. There's the upper floor that is made for quiet reading areas. We also came here and used the passport services for the kids. It sure beats waiting at a Post Office. They have all the forms for you to fill out and they mail it out for you as well. Best service if you don't like to deal with long lines or loud places. I believe you have to bring a checkbook for payment and it's only open on certain days. There are summer reading programs here, always good for the kids and encourage them to read for prizes. We try to hit up 2 library in the summer for this. (more free food upon completion of books) Parking is huge and plenty. There is only one way in and one way out so make sure you come in on the correct arrow.

I've been coming since 1990. Friendly, helpful and clean. I can usually find what I'm looking for but they are always willing to help.

Quiet, clean, and spacious library with an upstairs too! You can apply for passports here. There are a lot of programs going on here for little kiddos too
