The building itself is beautiful, and the lobby is just as breathtaking. The art deco style is wonderful. The free observation deck on the 28th floor provides a 360 view of the surrounding area. You can see the high rises in Niagara Falls to the north and the Bills training field to the South. A wonderful and uniquely buffalo experience that doesn't cost a cent
Real nice art-deco lobby! The observation deck is free and zero people were there when I went. Unfortunately the balcony part of the observation deck was closed. You’d think think place would be popular, but it seemed surprisingly off the beaten path.
There's something to be said about the laziness of neighbors who leave their Christmas decorations up all year. What's to be said about a city hall that does the same? photo included Went down for the "Taste of Buffalo". It wasn't as good as last years. Not bad but not great. I've been to city hall a dozen times for a dozen reasons. It's expensive. Parking is nearly nonexistent. Police will skulk around waiting to shoo people away for 'standing' cars who are just waiting for someone. I've rarely heard of anyone having a good experience when they're forced to go here.
Very easy to get into and going up to the observation deck was free and again easy, go to the elevator bank and just hit the button go up to 25 and then the stairs up and boom you are there!! Beautiful view and well worth a stop!!
Well the building has some wonderful carvings and murals. It’s the peoples house and worth checking out.
This Art Deco gem is one of the largest and tallest municipal buildings in the United States.

I am from Buffalo and didn’t know our City Hall was viewed as an architectural gem. After viewing it as a well-traveled adult, it is unique.
Cool Art Deco piece to see if you’re an Art Deco fan. Inside has a lot of cool pieces of art to see. The observation deck is alright if you enjoy views of metropolitan cities. Truthfully unless you do the tour you could see and experience the building in under an hour. Still cool to see if you need something to do.
This building is must see architecture! Too bad that Covid-19 has it closed currently for tours, but even then, there are many Art Deco treasures to discover from the exterior only.
