Nice because they purchase clothing from customers as well as sell it. Fairly good selection of items in Fairly good condition. However pricier than your standard thrift store. possible to find just as good of an item for Less at a thrift store. If you don't have the time to dig around for deals and good clothing and you have the extra money to spend the Buffalo Exchange is perfect.

The girls who work here are full of themselves, and super condescending to anyone over 30. I brought in some of my 23 year old son's expensive designer clothes to resell (mostly purchased in hip Melrose) because he had lost weight and they no longer fit. The girl at the counter sneeringly told me "we don't take business clothes for older people...this is a store for younger people" when she looked at the men's vest he had included. I realize they have to make a profit, but they offered me about $4 for NEW Chuck Taylors and NEW Sketchers High Tops still in the box with tags. I took my stuff and left. May be a fine place for college kids to shop - but I wouldn't bother trying to sell them anything. What they pay you won't even cover the gas to get there - and you will likely be insulted by a teenager in the process.

The Manager at Buffalo Exchange here in Ventura on Main st . Is a Racist prick ! Anyone of color do not go here to sell . She greeted every white person that walked in and didn’t greet me . She asked what was I doing here and I told her I was here to sell it was my first time . She then quickly didn’t even bother to look at my clothes or open up folded clothing and didn’t buy anything . I had so many name brand clothing from mostly Free People , Urban Outfitters ,banana Rebulic,Vince,J crew and some designer brands new with tags and in excellent condition. She didn’t bother to look at my clothing or really check out the brands . I decided to stay a while and shop and see what type of clothing they sell and I seen a lot of junkie looking faded out dated nonname brand clothing sold here at a high price. They had a plain forever 21 t shirt selling it at 35$ . I over heard her buying items from a white person and she was pricing them at 95$ 70$ each and they weren’t even name brands it was just more plain clothing and nothing spectacular. She then bought everything another white person sold to her as well. Do not sell here or shop here this place needs to boycotted!

The "Hipster" staff are not hip at all!  They are snooty and do not know the true meaning of good customer service.  I browsed the store through racks of (vintage) "Lets be real" old hand me downs, which are so over priced.  I tried twice to exchange clothing that was clean, in style and free from a worn out look.  Not what their looking for folks!  If someone was to ask me if I would shop here!  That`s a big NO.  Not the hip store they think they are.
