Overall Rating: 6.0/10 This modern eatery presents a chill and contemporary vibe with quick service and quality food, though some menu items do not fully justify their price. Atmosphere: 6.2/10 The restaurant features a fresh, modern design complemented by a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor seating with cover adds to the appeal, making it a nice spot for dining al fresco. Service: 5.9/10 Service was efficient with a friendly waiter and quick food delivery. The overall ambiance of happiness among the staff and the cleanliness of the place contributed positively to the dining experience. Food: Bourbon Burger: 7.1/10 A highlight of the meal, the burger was perfectly cooked with a homemade-feeling bun that enhanced its appeal. The bacon jam provided a bold flavor complement, and the goat cheese added a nice, nuanced taste, making it a high-quality dish. Brisket Nachos: 5.2/10 While the sauce and brisket were flavorful and well-cooked, the use of overly salty Tostitos chips detracted from the dish's overall quality and did not align well with its price point, impacting the perceived value negatively. Mac and Cheese: The mac and cheese featured a bold, tasty sauce and extra seasoning that lifted its flavor profile. The quality of the pasta itself was not clear, but the sauce made a strong impression. Value: 4.9/10 The pricing strategy seemed misaligned with the quality of certain dishes. While the bourbon burger provided good value due to its quality, the brisket nachos were disappointing in terms of cost-effectiveness, which affected the overall value rating.
I dined here a year and a half ago and it was easily 1 of the top 3 burgers of my life! It was a lamb burger with caramelized onion. I consumed my burger that day, down to the juices. We also had ahi tuna and Parmesan fries that day. Awesome meal. Today I was excited to visit again, this time with my children. I ordered the same burger with Mac and cheese. Also, we ordered a chicken burger for my son and an order of ahi tuna. The sides were guacamole with chips, Brussels and fries to share. The food was delivered and I tasted my son's macaroni. Omg, my son all but am gagged on it. It was grainy and mushy. We immediately asked if he could have roasted sweet potatoes instead. The server was great throughout the meal and fixed it asap. My other son tasted his chicken and refused to eat it. He is not picky typically and when we tasted the chicken we understand. Why eat something flavorless and dry? His bacon was soggy. The apples were not grilled to doneness. It was rough. His guac was not an improvement over packed, but edible though he ate little. My wife had the ahi tuna and ate 1 bite. She said it was horribly fishy. Tuna is not fishy unless it is old. That is hazardous to say the least. My wife ate a few bites of the Brussels - which were spicy but mediocre at very best. Frozen and microwaved would have been an improvement. She did eat some Fry's. They were not hot but they were acceptable. 1 of the 3 dipping sauces were good. What happened to the awesome sauces? Sunday sauce sucked. Truffle aoili tasted like pure mayo. It was a real waste. My burger- to have been so good at 1 time, was absolutely horrible. I took a bite and my son took a bite. Seriously, burger king is a major step up from this bland, mushy, grey, old food they are serving. This used to be the most amazing burger ever and now it say uneaten with hungry patrons that couldn't even swallow the portions. My son's sweet potatoes were overly covered in cinnamon and NOT roasted. They were microwaved or boiled. Roasted vegetables have texture. The server came back and asked if we needed boxes for everyone because all the food remained on the table. We said no and we were really let down with our visit. We were leaving hungry. None of our food got are except the order of Fry's and 1 sauce. She went to alert that manager. He or she never even darkened our table. They never apologized or said a word to us. They just decided to charge us for ALA carte sides and take the 2 burgers off still charging for the sides. And the tuna off. How bad is management that they can't even come and say something to you. They obviously weren't busy cooking. I would be embarrassed, no --- ashamed to serve such trash. I still paid with tip 50$ish and we ate nothing but basically a fry. This used to be such a good place. What happened? New manager? New owner? Using other restaurant's leftovers to make dishes? Pictures attached are of after our 'meal' and of the note I left on the receipt. If a manager would like to speak with me, please reach out via Google email. I can go into further detail.
Customer service was the epitome of great people caring and well versed in the menu . This place has been open for 8yrs. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Now on to the food. I ordered the truffle Parmesan fries, blackened dry rub chicken wings, and the hangover cure burger. Truffle fries: cooked to perfection in my opinion. Right amount of seasoning and the mayo based sauce compliments the flavor profile. Only thing I would change is the the fries truffle oil content , you don’t taste the truffle till you get to the bottom of the fries. But all in all good fries. Blackened chicken wings: on a count of 3 say fire…1,2,3…FIRE!!! These wings were cooked to perfection right amount of crunch and the dry rub evenly coats the wings all over. Beautiful cook on these. The hangover cure burger: is like that. Beautifully cooked , I asked for medium and it was spot on. The combination of turkey bacon, egg, cheese carmelized onions, and a toasted bun just made my day. This place seems a lil slow given the area. I hope my experience follows others to come. If you in the Durham area go check this place out.
Ever wish you just wouldn’t have gone somewhere to eat? Well that would be the case today! Happen to be nearby and ordered takeout. Overcooked dry burger when I ordered medium, stale bun that feel apart and an ice crystal filled chocolate shake that taste like there is strawberry in it. Way to disappoint and leave someone still hungry. Won’t be returning here!!! Really I just want my $30 back!
Who doesn't like a burger? Burger Bach is kinda pricey for a burger, but the quality and sides make it worth the treat. We got the Pimento cheese fries to split between the 3 of us. Oh, my yummy goodness. They were so good and mom couldn't keep her lips off them. Mom also got the biggest burger... the Southern Gent. It was huge, delicious, and juicy. Soda for the East Coast and I got the Queenstown Lamb. My lamb burger was the smallest but just right for me and so good. They have $3 Mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys on Sat and Sun. Fresh squeezed juice! Definitely give it a try!
Happy hour is no joke at this restaurant. I sat at the bar, and the service was great. I ordered the dry rubbed wings and a $3 draftFood: 5/5
İf u havent been to anywhere in Aussie land or to NZ, the Kiwi capital of the world...then this is definitely a must. But even otherwise, they beat every other burger joint any day. Their brisket was out of this world and the fact they know how to make amazing lamb briskets and burgers just like in NZ & Australia gives u a great chance to reminisce if u are missing your trip or from there. But even others will love their fusion cuisine. The grilled tuna bites and Rockefeller grilled oysters are a must if u want something other than usual burgers or want to try seafood. Enjoy! Wheelchair accessibility: They have parking, outdoor and indoor seating all on ground level so its easy for wheelchairs to access
I recently dined at Burger Bach in Durham, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the promising reviews, my visit fell short. I waited over 45 minutes for two burgers, which were both overcooked and tasted burnt. My girlfriend and I ended up taking only one bite from each burger. The service was subpar, and to make matters worse, the manager complained about a trainee being annoying and frustrating her. We received a "discount" that left us paying $36 before tip for: - 1 order of appetizer fries - 2 Cokes - 1 plain single cheeseburger - 1 chicken sandwich Paying $36 for two burgers, with clearly only one bite taken out of each, seems a bit ridiculous. The 10% off for a future visit did little to make up for the poor experience. On a positive note, their mac 'n' cheese was really good. Overall, I am very disappointed with both the food and the service, despite the redeeming side dish.
Burgers with a definite upgrade. My faves are the lamb burgers but they also have a good black bean burger. Good salad. Great thin French fries! Decent outdoor seating off of parking lot. Vegetarian options: Yup. Black bean or fish
This is an amazing spot for burgers. Best burgers I have ever had. However everything else on the menu side, appetizers isn’t as good so it hurts the over all experience in my view. If some of the other things we ordered we just a bit better, like our specialty fries I would give this spot a 5 out of 5. But amazing burgers for sure.
