Seven years ago, I purchase a furnace, air-conditioner, humidifier, air cleaner and programable thermostat from them. Their price was very competitive, they were easy to work, and in the end, they left our home very clean. Yesterday they came out on a service call, for the first time, and fixed our furnace and said “no charge the work comes under your warranty”. We were very surprised and pleased. The service person then took time and showed us some of the finer points on how to program the software in our thermostat. Over the years I have referred a few of my family and friends, they too have been pleased.

I will never recommend or use Burnsville Heating and Air Conditioning in the future. I have a 3 year old house with a 3 year old Bryant AC unit where the AC Coil leaked out almost all the coolant. I called and had to wait 3 weeks for them to come and diagnose the issue which cost me $99.00. He added coolant but said he didn't know how long it would stay. The technician couldn't give me a price to replace the coil but said the office would follow up. When I didn't hear back I called 3 times before I talked with Bob the service manager who's response was "I don't know anything about it." I had left a message for Bob to call me previously...This was after 3 days of calling!! Bob did get back to me later that day with a quote for $525.00 for the labor to replace the coil and said that he would discount the price for my inconvenience (the $525 was the discount). When they came and replaced the coil it took the 2 technicians 1.5 hours to complete the work. That is $175.00 per hour!!! When I asked Bob about this he said they charge a flat rate and they apparently were efficient so it worked in their favor this time. I was very disappointed in Bob the service manager, it cost me over $600 to fix a 3 year old system and Bob didn't seem to care or didn't have a clue - I'm not sure which is worse. Warranty or not I will not call these guys again!!!

I have given them so many chances. Bob was great to work with. However, time after time I had nothing but problems. I hired them to install a new furnace and A/C. Looks good, runs good, but the technician that did the install forgot to put the drainage line from my water softener back in the drain. For 3 months when my water softener would charge it was dumping gallons of water under my drywall and into my adjacent closet. Didn't catch it until I walked into the closet (we hardly ever use this closet) and the carpet was soaked. After some damage control, we had to replace the drywall in the closet and the carpet. Burnsville heating did pay for it, or their insurance company did, but it took FOREVER to get payment. Fast forward to this spring, I needed to do a A/C checkup to keep warranty. A/C is working fine, until the checkup. I noticed after the technician left that as soon as the A/C kicked on, it would start rattling and immediately turn off. I called service and they said, "Oh, I'm already out of town. I'll come back tomorrow and fix it." So great, no A/C on a hot evening with a 1 month old baby in the house. When I called the next day to get someone out to fix it, they say, "We're completely booked today. We don't normally do this but we'll squeeze you in sometime." Oh thanks, I hate to be an inconvenience to you after you broke my A/C. It was working fine until your technician touched it! So after these incidents, I am done with Burnsville Heating. Sorry Bob, I like you, but too many bad experiences. Also, my neighbor had a furnace installed by them after I had mine installed and his failed inspection. Lazy.

Burnsville Heating and Air Conditioning has installed my HVAC system (ducts, furnace and AC). The first issues we had after this was completed was banging noises from the duct work during heating. The holes cut into the floor joists were cut too small (a problem that now can't be fixed). The second issue was a hole in the exterior refrigerant line of the AC unit. This was fixed and the refrigerant was refilled. However, problem three, the refrigerant line was installed with a faulty gasket causing a refrigerant leak in the house. This last problem required a part to be order (2 business days to receive) but Burnsville Heating and Air Conditioning say they cannot come out for another 10 days (during 90F weather) to fix a problem they caused during install and missed during my first service appointment. They did earn that 1/5 stars with the last technician they sent. He found problems that the installer and first technician missed. I hope they earn my trust back with the final fix.

We called Burnsville H & C for a service visit to fix our Air Conditioner on June 8, 2017. After the tech checked the outdoor unit and furnace, he then lied to my wife, who was home alone, about the repairs. The Tech claimed that the unit was completely void of AC gas caused by a leak in evaporator which required a new evaporator and a capacitor, at more than $900. My wife called me to talk to the tech. I asked how he detected the leak he said it was a rusty evaporator and that he had to add AC Freon gas as much as 2-3 pounds, at $74 for first pound $30? for addl pound of gas. I asked if he had checked for leaks the proper way with UV tracer dye to find a leak but he said no, he said that he “could tell by the rust. “ I asked if he would install a sealer type AC gas and he said no that his company would not allow it. I told him that I would not have the evaporator replaced at this time and for him to just add the AC Freon gas and capacitor. After I hung up he replaced the capacitor and then told wife that unit did not lose gas and had no leak. He did not have to add gas, but just replace the capacitor. A capacitor costs 14.50 and it takes less than 15 minutes to install. Burnsville H & C charged me $358, lied about the condition of the AC and charged me $200 more that the repairs should have cost.
