The Byron Fire Department (BFD) serves the beautiful and historic city of Byron, Georgia.
This department is a combination of full time, part time and volunteer firefighters. We serve a city of approximately 5,000 people covering an area of almost 6 square miles.
The department is not only responsible to protect the lives and property of these 5,000 people but also the thousands of people who pass through Byron on Interstate Highway I-75 each day.
In addition to our primary role of safeguarding the lives and property of our citizens and visitors, BFD personnel accomplish a host of other services that enhance the quality of their lives.
