They did the job when they said they would and with good workmanship.

Very dissatisfied with their work overall, but it was cheap. I had my deck repaired and resealed. Site manager arrived two hours early for our appointment to choose color. Wasn't ready for him, but whatever. The repairs discussed weren't fully completed. Holes weren't filled in and a board was repaired with a smaller piece than agreed on. The deck sealant they bought was the wrong kind and it looked awful. Waited multiple days for them to get back to me on fixing it, but was told weather was an issue. I understand weather can stop work on deck sealants, but all I wanted was to be appraised of the situation. They agreed, and then continued to keep me out of the loop. After deck sealant was done, they actually never came back to clean up the trash, plastic sheeting, and several of their own tools they left behind. Called them, I was assured someone would be out there, three days later I cleaned it up myself. To top it all off, the guy doing the actual repairs had Nazi tattoos on his chest. Actual swastikas and SS symbols. This was a farce of a repair job and their only saving grace was their willingness to take responsibility every time they screwed something up. I have to give them credit there, I guess.

Pros: Quick reply when submitting a inquiry 

Other: I reached out to this company on January 4, 2017- An estimator was at my home providing a quote the following morning. I accepted the quote based on the following: The estimator was one of the owners, the price seemed to be reasonable, the detail put into the estimate seemed to be legit, and they were able to begin the work immediately (following day). On January 6, 2017, I contacted the estimator to confirm arrival (it was an hour past scheduled time). I would have appreciated notice of their lateness, but the fact he answered and assured they were in route, I was fine, at this point I am grateful their moving on this so fast. The estimator assured me there was just a slight delay and the team would be arriving within an hour. Fifteen minutes before their rescheduled time, I get a call from a random person who says they are the workers. This conversation did not go well- I was told that their truck would not start. Mind you this company is in North Chicago and I am in Skokie, why am I getting a call 45 minutes after being told you were in route, this call should have been made awhile ago or when I originally called to see what the delay was. At this point I am frustrated and I contact the estimator who is now not available but text saying that he was in a meeting and just got word the truck would not start. I am sorry but this doesn't fly with me- As a business manager myself, I would know the minute my truck is not starting and a customer is going to be affected. I would not tell someone within an hour, knowing it takes an hour alone just to get to the customers house. Nonetheless, a team did not arrive today.

The following day (January 7, 2017) a team arrives and is done within two hours. Red flag! Mind you they arrived early (great) so I was not present but when I did come after their call to me that they were done, I was not happy, again. The gutter/damages looked nothing more than half done- The gutter was still hanging, there was visible daylight between the gutter and roof, and the owner/estimator was not resent (as he promised he would be). I am now trying to explain to the team how this "completed work" is not what was discussed with the estimator. On the other hand the estimator is on the phone telling me the work is done (when he is not the one present) and that he is demanding payment. I not being the argumentative person lets them know the work is not complete, I will pay when the work is complete. This did not go well with the estimator and I then received a "threatening" voicemail that I would not be able to sell my home, they will have a lien placed on my home, and he wanted his money, "today!". My simple reply via text was that when he is physically able to be present to see this "work completion", they will get paid.

The following day the estimator came and saw that the work was in fact not completed. At this point there is still some miscommunication b/c the gutter is not fixed and I am being told that in order for the gutter to be fixed, they would have to replace, "everything". When I had the estimate written, the purpose of their coming out to estimate was to replace all the wood around so that the gutter has something to hang to. Apparently that was misunderstood. This company charged $850- There was NOT $100 worth of material used at all for what was done. I was told they did not have all the material needed to complete the job, they would return. Today is January 13, 2017, and they have yet to return. A lot of rescheduling at the last minute after I have reached out to confirm scheduled time (30 minutes prior).

Again, the company seems to have a great image. After a week ordeal of lack of communication, undelivered promises, I cannot recommend this company. If you do choose to use this company, make sure you reference this note so that they know you are aware of their business handling processes. Best of luck to all you decision makers! J
